Default To those who have seen Kalahari interior up close in person...

In all the pictures the Kalahari color interior in both videos and pics appears to me not as a light tan but as an almost "orange" tint. Does it look that way in person??? I think the cyber grey with light tan can work but it looks very "orange" tinted to my eyes, is it just the pics or is that how it looked to those that have seen it first hand. Please respond if you saw it in person... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

Saw it at the January Reveal in Detroit. My first impression is that it looked just like my natural color baseball gloves that I had as a kid. It is a "tan," though I can not dispute it has a small amount of orange tint. It is a "rich" color and looks like it would be what you would/could find in a Jaguar, a Ferrari, or a Lamborghini.

I guess the best way to summarize my feelings is that the second I saw it, I knew that my C7 will have the Kalahairi interior.

While I have not seen the Kalahari interior, I did find this description of the color (in a cyber gray vert) from May's issue of Car & Driver very helpful. "Our photo car's top was color-matched to the caramel-shaded leather of the interior. The top color, called Kalahari and intended to be a lovely tan hue, appeared to be roughly the shade of a Band-Aid." And this statement at the end if the article: "We acknowledge that both convertible and coupe corvettes look good in gray. We are less enamored of the Barbie-flesh-colored top."(end quote) I'm seriously considering the Kalahari color. While I'm debating between it and brownstone, I like the fact that Kalahari is an exclusive color to corvette--brownstone and adrenaline red are not.

My dealer (a forum dealer) told me that Kalahari is close to the 2014 Impala "Mojave".

NONE of the pics I've seen look even remotely like Barbie flesh or Band-Aids. To me, on the MacBook Retina display, it always has a fairly constant hue that I really like, like the baseball glove mentioned above. On the other hand, the Adrenaline red color as displayed on my computer is all over the place. Just looking at the computer, you would have no idea what that hue looks like. Besides, I think C&D smokes a lot of funny stuff sometimes. I intend to order the color in a black C7.

in person, baseball glove is the best description. It's very rich looking and is a color you would expect in a Porsche or high end Audi.

I personally prefer black interiors but both the blue convertible with brown ultra suede and the cyber grey coupe with I believe the color you are asking about looked very rich..

The alcantara option would be on my hit parade ...so remember opinions are like @ssholes we've all got them..

I really don't know about an orange tone....

I do believe everyone who saw the car admired the interior in either example.

Have fun deciding.

Would like to see those interior colors swapped in the two cars.

Brownstone is in the NRB vert. Both have the same contrast Mohave stitching. Black carpet for the kalahari, brown carpet for brownstone.

Sorry I was not clear. The Kalahari interior has a second color in it. I am trying to determine if it is black or another color.

The kalahari looks like a band aid actually lol. Idk who thinks it looks like a ferrari tan interior which is much much lighter than that.

For those who've misinterpreted the quote, the "Band-Aid" reference is about the canvas convertible top, not the leather interior.

Well regardless it doesn't change the fact that is looks like a band-aid. This is one of the very very few aspects of the corvette where GM did an epic fail in an attempt to copy ferrari or bentley. Everything else is good.

Nothing caravaggio can't fix.

At one time yes but now you see the color in everything. If
its going in an impala not that exclusive of a color. When looked
at the new color selection for the X5 going to get. You see
different shades now. I do like the color but have had it my
335i so its old news and want something different.

At the bash I, for the first time, saw the kalahari in person in regular light. At the interior seminar, they had a piece from the dash covered in it and it looked WAY better than the photos. A natural tan totally unlike the orangish pics you hv seen. Personally, I didn't think it looked like a band-aid at all. It looked great
