Default C7 Carpeting Texture and Colors in Detail!

With the multiple unveilings of the new 2014 C7 Stingray, there has been continued excitement with the release of exterior colors, wheel options and interior leather colors and names. What enthusiasts have not seen in detail is the carpet texture or colors. From Scottsdale to Geneva and all the unveilings in between, Mid America Motorworks was able to capture images of the new carpeting for the C7 generation Corvette!

We are guessing that the 2014 C7 Corvettes will have Black Carpet with the Adrenalin Red and Jetblack interiors, Brown Carpet with the Brownstone and Kalahari interiors and Gray Carpet with the Gray interior. Our team describes the carpet as a tightly tufted, low loop that has a similar look to the Daytona Weave Carpet used in the 1956-1959 Corvettes –We think this “Retro-Loop” carpeting looks awesome! What do you think?

Not to be harsh, but I recall those carpets from prior generations. And I think these "piles" look cheap and thin. Again, my opinion, it is not in keeping with what several pics I've seen of the rest of the interior. But I will reserve final judgment until I see the interior incl. the carpet in person.

Wish we would look more into the future than try to return to the past.

That carpet makes the C6 carpet look so "dated".

Wait a second, actually that carpet looks like the same carpet that was in my "Jimmy" back in 85. Somebody must be in charge of cleaning out the warehouse. Bean counters. Uugh.

Oh please! I'm not "bashing" the carpet. This is an open forum subject to the views of more than one person.

If a noted authority like MidAmerica comes on here with a picture and descriptions of carpets that I, and others have seen before, I will comment on it. It is my opinion, and mine only.

But it is obvious that others may feel the same way.

It is only speculation, for me, until I see it, but if the description is correct, it will be "odd" to say the least.

We will see.

I promise not to look down. There are to many things to catch the eye and my attention.
A big thanks to MidAmerica for showings us the new carpet. midAmerica is a forum member who supplies top notch Corvette "stuff". Their catalog is the best since Sears was corner store. I am waiting to see the new C7 clothes and some C7 replacement wheels.
Thanks Mike Yager!

I guess they could put a rubber mat in their lower cost version.

I like the loop pile carpet. It's much more interesting than cut pile.

I'll probably be looking out of the windshield and not at the carpet.

Of course we should pay attention to the carpet quality. It's attention to every detail that spells quality. If not, It's like wearing an Armani suit with shoes from payless.

That said, I think the carpet looks of high quality. I think Bentley uses the same kind of carpet.
