Gotta disagree on chrome being "in"...Corvette might be the last performance car offering factory chrome wheels. Lamborghini? Alloys or black. Ferrari? Same. Mercedes the same.
I had chrome wheels on my '07 and they looked great, but there's no denying chrome wheels on sports cars, any car, really, is pretty much out of style these days.

Not black. Ever. On anything. Hated them when Porsche showed up for the 24 Hours of Daytona in '68 with black alloys on the 908s. Look worse on a street car, any car, than dog-dish hubcaps.

Funny how GM choose black wheels for the C7 reveal.
Maybe they do know something!

I know it's gone but I still love Comp gray. Other companies have gray wheel with even a better color gray. Hopefully they will offer an updated gray wheel color with the Z versions.

That's gotta be it. I'm up there, and haven't much liked chrome wheels since I was a little kid building Kustom Kar models in the early 60's. Also don't like all-black in almost every case, although on the red C7 at the reveal, with all the other black trim, they didn't look too bad. I always liked machined, polished, gray, charcoal, and black-center/polished rims. Still do.
So I pick up my latest Vette in August and it happens to have the chromed Z06 wheels. Somehow, I like them and have no interest in changing out, even if somone offered to trade me the proper Z06 rims even up.
Next thing, I'll be looking to move to The Villages

I agree. In fact it would be great if they would offer brushed/tinted/clear powder coat like HRE and other top wheel manufacturers offer. Very nice look and the powder coat clear is more durable than paint clear coat, altho probably not as tough as chrome.
Would be a nice add.

Can't wait to see this in person. Chrome is okay, although I would go with the current machine faced wheel if it were available. Just enough gloss and easy to clean.

Also, make sure you layer up at LEAST two polo shirts (and by polo, I really mean Izod), and don't forget to POP! those collars…!
