Default C7 makes C6 obsolete

he said “it takes almost no time in a C7 before you realize the C6 is obsolete.” Tadge also claims the Corvette Stingray will be the highest volume car with standard carbon panels.

Quote from Sebring

He was speaking about the new technology not the car itself.

Might be some **** poor timing for a guy from a Corporation with thousands of unsold C6's on dealer lots . . .

Jim Jones had a few followers, too... he gave them plenty of kool aid and it worked out great for everyone. Hate to consider the scenario in which he is wrong... And why pick on C6, with all new cars still sitting on the lots? There are plenty of C5 and C4 in circulation as well. Will all unsold new C6 meet the crusher then? Either you are misquoting Tadge or he is losing his marbles completely.

Hopefully due to his comment they go down more and more and I can score a 13 ZR1 on the cheap!

Extra! Extra!

Car manufacturer claims, "Our new product will be much better than our previous one".

Not doubting that he said it, I just wanted to hear it in context.

No, he did say it and then he looked back at Harlan and knew he'd said something he shouldn't have...go to 8:50. It was a dumb thing to say and he knew it immediately. I can certainly understand his feeling that way though.

Hopefully for GM this is not correct. Because if he really said this - he has lost it. Way to totally insult your customer base. They just keep screwing this up and digging deeper. Ouch.

Thanks Tadge - it's really a great feeling to know that you see my brand new C6 as obsolete . . . you really know how to make a Corvette customer feel special

Even Tadge has no loyalty to the evolution of the vehicle. Any inclination for a C7 has taken another hit in my future. What a Bozo.

I'm sure that Carroll Shelby frequently said that the 289 Cobra was obsolete after the 427 came out.

I'd bet you that Dr. Porsche called the 356 obsolete after the 912/911 were introduced.

Maybe for Tadge he doesn't differentiate between the Vette and the Malibu in his sales approach.

Wow, considering lack of actual info about car's specs and performance, he is beyond dumb. This portion of the introduction should be left to the car, letting the car speak for itself. Hopefully he designs cars better than he presents them.

Obviously he was speaking the truth. Though it was not an especially smart thing from a sales standpoint to say at this point. I'm sure the dealers didn't want to hear him say that.

Evidently some C6 owners are dumb enough to not realize the C7 does indeed make the C6 obsolete. People will still buy new C6's.

Until the car can be tested, nothing should be obvious.

I wouldn't say he lost it, just what the owners will be thinking when they finally take delivery. That's what new cars are suppose to do. C4 got its clock cleaned by the C5, then the C5's lunch was eaten by the C6. C6 is up on deck to be yesteryear's Corvette and the spring board to the next great Vette.

If people take offense to this, they shouldn't wear their feelings on their sleeves. Him saying that would not stop me from picking up a C6 if I truly loved that generation the most. Newer cars may make the older one obsolete from a technological standpoint but it does not take away from their greatness, but that's just me.

Though to be fair, I suppose F430 owners displayed similar reactions towards the new 458 Italia.
