Saw it in person - rear still not working for me

Hence why I said "to each his own." Try learning how to read! Has nothing to do with growing up. I am a true Corvette guy and will forever be one. But there are plenty of people who have chimed in this thread regarding the 458 vs the C7 and they feel the same way I do (e.g. NytmereZ). IN MY OPINION (I hope I'm not offending you here), the exterior look is no contest. 458 takes it.

I definitely prefer the 458, especially in the rear view because the C7 rear bumper is just overdone. For example, I think this photoshop cleans up a lot of the ducting and surfaces on the rear bumper - if GM made the rear bumper like this, it would make the whole car look better.
Then again, deep down I'm a Porsche guy, so what do I know?

C4 and C5 were far less of an abrupt chop off of the rear than the C6 and C7 are. The C4s actually flowed extremely well with the car and carried the lines to completion, especially on the models featuring the black rub strip.

So when they don't like the rear end on the C7, or the C7 in general, they don't understand, or can't fathom, that not everyone shares their point of view. They want the C7 to have more aspects from the C6, and that clashes with others who might not like certain parts of the C6, or want a little bit more in the aesthetics side.

However, I sure didn't get on the Ferrari forums complaining about it endlessly. The car still looks great, and since Ferrari is not afraid to change things with each new model, there will be a new one someday.
I hope GM keeps moving ahead with the Corvette with each new model, too.

When I first saw the 458, I was disappointed with the back end. It was a let down, compared to the 430. Sound familiar?

Arguably, many say the c-7 rear bares a resemblance to a slew of other cars both now, previously and probably to come. One thing that is undeniable-it doesn't look like a corvette.

What looks like a Corvette to me. Is C1's and C2's. unlike the C6 they had a place for a front license plate and distinctive style.

Well then by that thinking, there hasn't been a Corvette that looked like a Corvette, in at least 30 years.

430 is a great looking car as well. You too. Keep smiling over there.
