In the second pic it appears as though the rear fascia is just stuck on and not a part of the real car.
I noticed that as well. The only thing I could come up with is that these cars are pre-production and this one in particular may be missing some fasteners. As such, they may have used some color tape to help hold the rear fascia on in that area or to hide an unsightly gap. Another possibility is that there maybe some inner liner pieces missing on these prototypes so they may have used to tape to cover areas that water or ice could have intruded into which would make some sense given they are testing in the snow. .
That or it's some new fangled ultra light weight fastening process!
This doesn't look like a performance model IMHO. The calipers, rotors, and tires appear no different than those on the Z51 model. Even the C6 Grand Sport had a big brake package...
