Yes, and I'd bet a lot of actual/prospective owners are glad it is not a hardtop and convertible.

We have not seen any uncovered convertibles, I thought someone would of seen one by now. After all we know what the coupe looks like, there really isn't anything to hide.

I'm not much of a vert fan, but I have to say from the few spy shots I've seen, that the C7 soft top looks better up than almost any soft top I've seen before. It's completely smooth and looks great.

From the picture the fabric appears to have a sheen, not the dull look of the fuzzy fabric of prior models. It certainly is tight without any sags. Wonder if it is just a photo reproduction thing?

The same folks who want a retractable hardtop are the same ones who would stomp their feet about not spending over $55k for a Corvette. Ever!
That said, I have no doubt a retractable hardtop will happen someday if the Corvette survives long enough.

The same people asking for a arid top vert would be the same ones yelling about too much weight and lack of storage room.
Wrong.

Wrong, again.
So much insight.

The car is heavy enough.A retractable hard top would add tons of weight. As stated, the coupe has a removable top so there is no need for anything more then what they have already.

Already been built, it was called the Cadillac XLR. The top weighed more than 300 hundred pounds and left zero trunk space when the top was down. The XLR was made on the same production line as the C6 but wasn't a big seller and was axed after only a few years.

I would appreciate a power folding hard top. If Ferrari can do it with the California, GM can. GM could also give us a twin clutch 7 speed trans as well. That little ferrari v8 also gives more HP and torque with less displacement.

Sure they can. They could also charge you Ferrari money.

The hard top vert concerns are very legit as to weight and storage space. But what I'm seeing or what is found in the spy shots is essentially a C6 top for a C7 vert.
Shouldn't there be a different rag top treatment something that would better emulate the sail bars and the rear window rake of the C7?
