Projected post count poll after HP announcement?
I think we should have a poll to guess the number of posts once GM announces the HP numbers. The winner gets a new Stingray emblem to hang on their bathroom wall.
I'm going to start it off, guessing 25,000.
Now, my guess has nothing to do with my other request that we rename this site "OFFICIAL C7 SCREAMING CRYBABY OH I'LL JUST BUY A FREAKIN MUSTANG PISSING & MOANING DAY CARE INSTITUTE".
Just a suggestion IMHO.

I think we need to name the site "fanboys only" based on the way some members aggressively attack any post that dares criticize any element of the C7.

No matter what the horsepower comes in at, there is going to be a lot of "I told you so" replies. Oh, and I don't think the horsepower will be anywhere near 25,000.

As to the HP number, I think the only number that matters is the real world track numbers. Go way back to 1966, remember the 427 L-72, was first called 450 HP, then changed to 425. Even though the 1965 396 L-78 was called 425 HP. And those HP numbers were well below the real max. HP which was quite higher at a higher RPM.
So, if the C7 is fast on the track, 1/4 mile, and 0 to 60...........well, it's just damn fast!

With all the horsepower claims(fairy tail wishes) being thrown out since the C7 was announced....well, 25,000 is pretty close to what some believe it will be.

Yeah, I know what he meant, but the way he wrote it, it could be taken for the amount of horsepower, not the number of posts(and everyone is smart enough to know that the horsepower isn't going to be 25,000).

Yes, I was thinking of how many screaming crybaby posts, that's why I said 25,000.

Drag racing was very popular at that time and in the stock class the class breakdowns were derived by dividing the mfg's curb weight buy the advertised horsepower. By having an artificially low advertised horsepower, a car could end up in a lower class( maybe B/S instead of A/S) where it had a better chance of winning. GM knew what the NHRA rules were and like the other car companies tried to make the best out of them to help their customers win more $2 trophies on Sunday

We all know the C7 is not the perfect answer for everyone. We also know the C7 is the best car coming along in the foreseeable future for many people on this forum. Only the sales numbers will tell us how successful the design is (assuming they can make enough to meet demand).

Regardless of what the final HP and Torque numbers are, there are going to be a lot of people "eating crow".
