C7 and C6 issue
#61
I made the decision between a new 2004 C5 and a new 2005 C6 the fall of 2004. After originally seeing the C5 in early 1997, I immediately had the "gotta have it" feeling. I did not have that initial feeling for the C6, although I have grown to like it more with the wide body Z06 and Grand Sport trim levels.
So far, I have had a similar "gotta have it" response to the C7, however I definitely want to touch and feel it first. I also plan to wait until the high HP model hits the streets and for GM to get rid of the new platform bugs that usually come with a complete redesign.
I don't plan to replace, just add to the stable, so for right now, I am definitely "loving the one I'm with"!

When my wife and I could finally afford new Corvettes, we always purchased the last year of the series. The final year cars seemed to have the best performance, refinements, and pricing. Our first new Corvette, a 1996 LT4 followed by a 2004 Z06 Commemorative and this past October a 2013 427 60th vert. I guess we have always owned "Dated" Corvettes, and loved every mile we have driven. Looking forward to the C8...
We did break down and buy an 08 Z06, just could not resist.

I can't say my C6 looks dated based on some pictures of the C7. While I like the C7 I can't get caught up in the hoopla because I've yet to actually see it in person. I plan on getting a C7 and will probably keep my C6 for old times sake!!

You guys better enjoy the C7 quick. Because as soon as the new car smell is gone
its just another car. Just like the Darling C6 is now a piece Cr*p to you guys.
Good bet the C7 won't last as long, its asian theme will grow old faster.

Wow, some pretty sensitive borderline butthurt guys on here, no one said the C6 is a "piece of crap." My comment about it "starting to" look dated in comparison was meant as a compliment to the C7 not an insult to the C6
