And for BHP that is correct. Advertised HP is meaningless.

The horsepower race is on its way to the 60's. Many of the people are incapable of
driving a 200 hp v6 safely. You drop them behind the wheel of a flimsy C7 and
ditches, T-poles, curbs, etc will flooding the insurance desks. Its just a matter of
time till the rates will kill these cars again. Just because the checkbook allows
the purchase does not mean the brain matches.

I'm going to guess the RWHP is going to land in the 380-390 area. I can't help but feel some of the things they are going to need to do to offset the added noise and vibration from the AFM is going to absorb a few ponies. So the mentioned 12/15% parasitic loss might end up being 15/18%. If it comes in at 450, we're looking at 383/369. But given what has been published about the LT1, I would venture that a 460-470 rating is very feasible and likely. But when they quote the HP estimate, I believe that they are speaking strictly of the engine with no regard as to which vehicle is installed. But given the strength of the internals, and the flexibility of the direct injection, I imagine they could tune quite a bit more into if they choose, or less.
