I was shocked to see an women driving a corvette about a month ago. First time in about 2 years.

Corvette is the car of choice for bald, or white hair old guys. sad but true.

Women should stick to mini vans and SUV to take our kids around..... And no, I'm not a sexist...... I was mauled in a women's studies class I had to take during my graduate program and those feminists brought up the point of leaving corvettes to men who have ***** envy

Young has a simple definition. It changes daily. It includes me and excludes anyone older than me.

I was 32 when i bought my first vette, 37 when i bought my current one, today im 41. I have all of my hair, its all BROWN, and in no way am i fat or balding. It does help to eat right and exercise.

That said, yesterday i saw a guy who looked to be in his 50's driving a new GT500 around. He might have been younger or older than that, but he was completely gray which is why i noticed him (thinking back to this thread). I supposed the point could be made that "old guys" drive mustangs too.

i wouldn't mind being 32 again though....that was a GREAT year

I support old people buying the new c7. It will keep my insurance quotes low.

In the final analysis, if these cars represent 25% of your liquid net worth, you have a problem if prices eventually go south. If they represent 2%, then who cares. It simply becomes a small liquidation issue for your executor and your heirs could care less.

Had a Corvette since 1968 ('65) when I was young. 6 Vettes later, still have one now that I'm old, I don't get it..........it's just a car I happen to like.

It is really poor sportsmanship to resurface a 6 year old thread discussing the old people. I'm old and I'd rather drive my car than talk about "age".

Porsche demographic is about 12-18 years YOUNGER than Corvette demographic.

Ive been young, and Ive been old.... young is better
Ive been rich and Ive been poor....rich is better

But the secret of life comes with age and wisdom... The secret of life is to be Happy.
If driving a Corvette makes you happy then who cares what others think.
If you need validation from others for what you do, you really have not grown up yet.
All I know is that when you are dead.... you are dead for a long time.

Just some Old Guy thoughts on life.

You revived a 6 year old thread to post a comment that has nothing to do with the thread topic? WTF???

I disagree with those being critical of resurrecting a 6 year old thread. I think it's very interesting that they were discussing the same stupid subject 6 years ago that surfaces on this and the C8 forum.

Old thread or not, there is a whole generation being raised on Uber and Lyft. They've never owned, let alone drive a car. And they have no plans to do so

Self-driven cars will probably go the way of VHS tapes and CD's sooner than later
