If you want to be the first to see the C7 in Chicago here's your chance this Saturday
UPDATE #2
See map below:
To get your bearings straight, the direction from the TICKET SALES rectangle to the Chevrolet Display area is North.
We will be meeting at the South Entrance (where TICKET SALES is noted) of this large room (Hall B1) which is located off of the Grand Concourse. It's in smaller print -- The Grand Concourse is what splits the two large rooms
I am being told you cannot buy tickets on-site as our meeting time is before the booths open. Make sure you purchase your tickets online now, print them and have them in hand before you arrive.
We will be meeting between 8:00-8:30am. At 8:30 I will make any necessary announcements. At 8:45 sharp we will be escorted over to the C7 display. PLEASE PLAN ON ARRIVING EARLY ALLOWING TIME TO FIND YOUR WAY TO THE MEETING LOCATION.
I look forward to seeing you there!

Hi Guys and Gals,

Ok gang, it's officially on!!!! Here are the details which I will also edit in my original post:
Saturday, Feb 9 Chicago Auto Show Agenda
NOTE: All participants have to purchase their auto show tickets before Saturday -- The Box Office opens too late (10am). DO NOT SHOW UP SATURDAY MORNING WITHOUT ALREADY OWNING YOUR TICKETS.
I found several links to tickets, here's one:
https://tickets.drivechicago dot com

8:45am - Group meets at show floor doors @ North Entrance (CAS will tell me the contact name and # tomorrow.)
9:00am - Group walks with Kirk Bennion and Harlan Charles to Stingray turntable.
9:00-9:45am - Kirk and Harlan do their design and engineering walk around.
9:45-10:00am - Informal Q&A with owners/enthusiasts.
10:00am - Public doors open to show floor; group disperses to walk through the balance of the GM exhibit and show
10:00-5:00pm - Free time for Kirk and Harlan
See you all soon

I'm working with a few of Corvette team members to organize a private tour of the new C7 one hour before the doors open publicly to the Chicago Auto Show.
The date is this Saturday, Feb 9, 2013. The gates open at 10:00am to the public, we will enter roughly one hour earlier, 9:00am and avoid the crowd.
All that is required is the purchase of a regular auto show ticket which you'd have to buy anyway -- in other words, no extra charge for this.
We need a minimum of 50 people (limited to 150) for GM to commit.
If you are interested, please post here that you are indeed in, send me a PM or email through the forum with your full name and those coming with you, and I will put you on the list. First come first serve.
I will confirm we are good to go with a meeting place and time in this thread sometime Friday afternoon or earlier.
Mike

got2bblu and warren1008 --- please PM me full names so I can keep an accurate and current list.
Brain, I've been to the charity events and it all depends what's on the schedule, but I suspect you'll be able to see the car, just not with a member of Team Corvette for true insight.
I'm not sure which color car has been assigned to Chicago yet.
