AO Rocks! (especially with tan interior). I'd like to see aztec gold, dark brown and butternut yellow come back! (now BY would look cool with all the black on the C7).

Surprisingly, the iconic '67 was sprayed in Goodwood Green more than any color that year. Not what you would have expected from that era, but true. I agree the LR Green will likely be a 1-2 year available color. For those who want something a bit different it's certainly fine-a classy, subtle appearance. I like it, just not sure I could make an ownership committment for the color. It will be interesting to see how the color orders actually fall into place. Cars ordered for dealer stock would more likely be 'safe' colors (black, red, gray) but if the customer demand is great there will be fewer dealer stock orders and a higher % of customer 'sold' orders which could change the color mix as buyers would not be purchasing cars out of stock but rather specifying what they really want for color & equipment. I have always felt that dealer inventory was the reason for so few red interiors on the C6. If there were none to see in person, one would be reluctant to order that color. Same could be said for other exterior/interior combinations. A big demand for the C7 could change this, at least for the first several model years, if sales cool off and dealer inventories bump up.

My '67 SS 350 Camaro was Butternut Yellow with black vinyl top, black nose stripe and (factory) thin black pinstripe along top line on sides and, yes, it was a GREAT combo. Course I might be biased as I would LOVE to own that car right now!

My first Corvette was Bowling Green Metallic with a tan top and guts, it was different and rare, I liked it so it may be my second choice.

Ao
I too would love to see AO come back. I have a 07 AO coupe. I would buy it in a flash. I contacted GM to see if it was possible to get AO as an optional color which I would be willing to pay for. The answer was NO.

I like this color, and I'd never normally consider anything green. It's masculin. With the brown stone interior, it would look very cool.
I don't get these couple of comments about it being an "old man" color. Black would fit that color, since it was the color of choice for the model T.
I've owned 6 vettes, 3 black, 3 red. I'm sick of both of those colors.
I'm surprised so many are commenting favorably on "orange". I know they didn't sell well, I think I've seen one C6 on the road in that color.

The LRG is pretty cool.
I am bored to tears of Grey/Silver cars. Or the Pimp colors that the kids like so much these days.
*Yawn*
Maybe change the names to dot.com yellow, or Recession Red.... Bad Credit Black?

Beyond the basics, car colors are cyclical. Earth tones were due for a return. Sometimes popularity just skips a generation. Something is old until it is rediscovered, becomes retro, or just reappears as new to younger eyes.
I'm like you, tired of silver, gray, black & red. It's not that they are bad or ugly, it's just that they are too common. (My mother hates yellow, orange & green cars. ) We need fresh, new, exciting colors and color combos on Corvettes. The C7 interior colors are awesome, they are common in Euro cars but fresh in Corvette. To me LRG isn't a old man's color, it's just new again. I'm ready to see more new colors on Corvettes. But, it's unavoidable, some new colors will be like colors used in the past. And someone will think of them as "old."
Cheers,
JB
