We have eyes. Those seats do not look like any serious "sport" seat other than the harness provisions. They honestly look like bottoms designed to oblige the extra-large bottoms found on a lot of older Corvette buyers.

The seats are made by the same company that makes the seats in the Porsche 911 - Lear is the name.

The seats are made by the same company that made the seats in the C6, too. They build what GM pays for. They build great seats and they build crap seats.
To all those of the opinion that no speculative comment should be made and we should all shut up until we've actually tried the car -- why are you here posting? Why haven't you left C7 General and vowed not to return until the next official release of information? Why is love the only ignorance allowed? --Just saying, it's a very "do as I say not as I do" comment.
I like most of what I see in the cutaway. The seats look better overall. But I remain skeptical that C6 seat problems have been fixed until I get something more than the seller's point of view. Especially when I see stuff that looks very similar to C6 seats, like small lower bolsters and wide-angled upper bolsters.

Two things crystal clear from this picture:
- These seats will be a MAJOR improvement over the C5 seats. As tiny as they are, even the bottom bolsters look more "vertical" to me, and the side bolsters, which are a joke in the C5, look to be great even on the touring seat
- Any upcharge more than about $100 for the sports seats should be a nice profit maker for GM. Unless there is gold dust in the padding, those seats look to be 98% identical as far as materials content and construction complexity is concerned.

Says the person who can't be bothered to look at the post above his own. No wires or springs means that the C6 and C7 bases cannot be the same.

Can those little fans actually move any air through all that foam? Or are they just supposed to cool down the foam itself?
Or do you suppose they core out some vertical air channels above the fan locations?

but that still doesn't change the fact that there are still things we don't know about.
it's been noted that the steering wheel is in progress still in certain ways; there's nothing that's been said that the seat bottoms were seeing there are the finals either.
secondly, we don't know if the foam cores inside the competition seats are softer and thus let you sink further in.
and third...
your center of gravity is in your upper half; not lower. keep that from moving and surface friction will take care of the rest.
these are some of the best of the best when it comes to engineers with nearly endless amounts of money to research things with.
rest assured they will produce the best product for the cost(s) they have available to play with.
