Default C-7 maybe

I like the basic design of the new C, except for the rear lights & the chrome stingray. May make a move for the C-7 in it's 2nd yr. My Cent. Edition will be 3yrs old by then & I'll be 68....

Well technically there is no C7 until it goes on sale and you can buy one. Until you can buy one in reality its a concept car just like the so called C7s of the transformer movies.

Also the people with highest probability of buying a C7 is C6 owners. It is reasonable to pose C7 opinions on this forum. As a C6 owner my next logical step up would be a C7. Why not get opinions from C6 owners?

That's like saying I shouldn't advertise my C6 for sale on the C5 forum. The next logical upgrade for a C5 owner would be a C6.

I think the C7 will be a great car. GM refined many needed areas and the design looks really good. I like the fact the Z51 has returned with Bilstein shocks, 1g+ handling and Michelin Super Sport runflat tires specified for the option. I wish the C7 had a little more hp, but that is what mods are for. I will probably wait two years into production and then make a decision on a purchase.

Why do people on this forum criticize the OP for this question in the C6 forum is beyond me? He is asking C6 owners the question. Be

I'm one of the biggest pests probably to the mods, asking them to move these C7 related threads, so now I'll go the opposite way and answer this one with my biggest concerns for the soon to be C7.

The direct injection engine is what interests me more than anything. Read up on it, many of the other major car builders are seeing that the intake systems are "carboning up" near the end of the engine warranty period, and it is a big expense to clean it out of the engines.

Soooooo, until I see "real world" happy C7 vette drivers for 2 - 3 years (and with over 50k trouble free miles on them), I'll be perfectly happy enjoying my C6.

AND, I'll READ ABOUT IT in the C7 SECTION

Not sure, tough to say when all you have is pictures and words. Need to see one and drive one.

Because this is not the forum for C6 owners, this is the forum to discuss the C6 car. I was reading this forum and posting long before I was an owner.

Actually, you have to post C5s for sale in the C5s for sale forum, and for obvious reasons...

Received the March Issues of Motor Trend and Automobile Magazine today. Both featured the C7 on the cover. "Motor Trend" headline on the cover: "THIS IS IT". "Automobile Magazine" headline: "Stingray returns. CORVETTE The best Corvette design in 50 years (Robert Cumberford says so)." Showed both magazines to the wife. Her comments: "The rear end looks like a Camaro! Why do they have all four tailpipes jammed together? Those rear (quarter) windows look like their from a Mustang (she drives an '10), Boy, doesn't look like the designers knew what to do, I was hoping for something a lot more exciting. Let's stay with the one we have, it's a classic Corvette". I never discussed the subject with her beforehand, but was amused at the fact her opinion aligned so closely with mine. I feel sorry for some poor dude trying to sell his wife on buying a '14 Corvette. "But honey it has 3 percent more horsepower".

Or, "Darlin' it'll have a real big blind spot to go with that Camaroesque rear end!"

I would need to see a C7 in person before I can decide to buy or not. All I can say right now is after looking at all the pictures posted online of the new C7 im not impressed and everytime I walk out to my C6 it keeps looking better and better.

Sorry to hear that. My income has actually gone up over the last 3 years, and at this rate, I'll be in a C7 in no time.Only problem is...I don't want one, at least no time soon.

Until they bring the round tails back, give it a less busier look, and prove that the high tech LT1 is reliable, no thanks.

Why would they ruin the structural integrity of the Z06 by chopping off the roof and potentially causing squeaks and rattles?

Aside from the negativity about where the post should be etc.

I plan on buying one the earliest 2015. I love my C6 GS,but also find the "new" (I won't mention what C number it is,since we have so many sensitive people here) very attractive and exciting. Everything about it,the interior, dash, seats, the colors in and out and cannot wait to find out what the other performance model upgrades there will be. Maybe I'll still hold on to my C6 and park it next to the other C..............................
