Location: Near Houston, Texas I like the Big Butt Corvettes
Anyone else think the C7 is Ugly?
Trying to get a feeling, how many of us forum guys don't like the new body style. I'm really trying to like the car, but every time I see the rear end, I'm not liking it. Is this really the best they could come up with after 8 years?

I had concerns at first, but after seeing pics of the real thing it has not only grown on me, but I think it makes the C6 look dated. Not bad, but dated (I've owned four C6's). I tend to believe the folks who have seen it in person and I think I'm going to love the car when I see it. Not a good thing for me because I'm a few years from wanting to buy another Corvette.

I wouldn't say its an ugly car...as sports cars go its a cool looking car, but am just critical of the lack of vette heritage and of course the camaro like rear end sucks big time.
I picked up on the rear end immediately. While people were worried about the tail lights (??) I was thinking these lights are neat. They have like a laid over J look when illuminated. I had to get use to the vents, I'm OK with them now. Get over this Vette heritage thing, that went out with the C2. Can't wait to drive it.
I will not be giving up my c6 for it.I did not get that WOW feeling when I saw it revealed as I did when I saw the c6 for the 1st time. That says it all for me. Nice technology and all that, dig the carbon fiber..but I'm sorry, that thing looks like a cartoon car sometimes..
While I believe this is not the best GM could have come up with the C7 is by no means an ugly car. In particular colors it looks pretty darn good. It has some great design queues and some really bad ones but overall I like it a lot.

You don't have to like it and if you don't, then don't buy it.
I just can't get into this car. Too "edgy", but not in the sense of being innovative. I think (notorious words) the car is too derivative of a lot of other cars.....Kia, Taurus, Fusion grille...Nissan GTR profile. It looks too Japanese to me. BUT....obviously that's what the stylists were going for: a younger, "fast & furious" look to lure a different demographic group. I hope it works, but I wonder how those younger buyers will afford the car.
