I think there is a company already that is basically doing that now.

just posting some opionion from a 2008 z06 owner, I am not unhappy with the looks of the new car... there is just something to the complex curve of the rear glass of "corvette" that shouldnt be quickly dismissed.

even without a split window... the curved glass will be greatly missed

Now I really truly love my 2011 coupe, but here is a 1966 Barracuda:

For Corvette to go to a different style in the C7 is OK.

My best friend in high school drove a '66 Barracuda just like this in white... not in near the shape this one is in. That was the most hideous thing I had ever seen at the time. Below the belt line looked to be 3/4 scale to the green house, awkward looking as hell.

You seriously are going to miss a curved window? Is this what we've come to?

Instead of all this bs...why don't people marvel in what's about to be for sale? Did every person who owned a C6 or C5 think it was the perfect car ever built? Of course not...but you drove it, and you chose to purchase it, because it's the sickest car out there...especially for the dollar.

Can we stop all this crying and just plan on buying the damn thing?

I love this look. Delete the rear quarter windows Mr. General and we will all order our new "z06"s nxt year.

Thx.
I think they could make a split window out of the base car easier......

The most interesting thing to me is how well that God-Awful design appears to have been executed! And the primer is definitely full coverage, all ready for paint! A terrible, terrible, terrible idea brought to reality with a great deal of time, effort and care. Speechless.........

The key would be the wheels. Are those Mercedes?

Does the base car have a different rear window?! Or is this some sort of Photoshop?

In answer to all criticism and input.

I do currently have the fortune to own 1 of the Z06 cars and yes, it is perfection to me, incredible value, a pure beast, I call her my War Eagle.

I am a younger owner.... below 30.... and very much love the white photoshop with the unapologetically american rear canopy.

Just my .02, thanks for the forum everybody!

Cant wait to see some of the new bodystyles out cruising in a few months... as for me... I won't upgrade to anything with the "strange" new 3 window rear.. I guess Ill just hold off for the c8 or a mid-year re-fresh from the General.

that photo shopped round hatch glass looks pretty good.
not saying the real car does not look good.

The split rear window would work with the rounded hatch glass, duck tape in the body color would make it happen, lol.

another locked thread talked about the rear having the satin black lower being ugly, I think it works to slim the rear end down and focus the view on the painted portion. maybe someone can photoshop the satin black in white on this car so we can all see if it makes the **** look fat.

Yes I kinda hijacked the thread. no thanks are needed. LOL
