Who likes the black wheels? If the outer rim was chrome colored it would look great, especially with the black colored vette.

Chrome is dead. Only the older guys want it. Black or machined or tinted is the new look.

I might like the black wheels if the lip was machined. I do not like black rims but with the lip machined it would look better and at least somewhat match some of the chrome bits on the C7.

I love black rims or at least the right rims in black! Not a C7 but I think they look great on MY CG Z06. If I can get these wheels to fit on my future C7, they will be on it! Even if I have to send them back to 360 for new hoops. Sadly though, I don't think the offset of these will work on the C7 though.

Gee, I wonder why chrome wheels are found on most C6's(53% for 2012 MY)? Thats more then all the other wheel options combined; the base silvers, the Comp gray, the machined face and the black. Why would someone order the most expensive wheel option if they didn't like the looks of it? Could it be that most C6's are driven by older folks that can afford them and prefer chrome over in-one-day/out-the-next-day fads.

Oh, and the guy who is the lead designer for the C7, just auctioned off his GM ZR1 through the NCM, and it had chrome wheels. Some people just have no sense of style, I guess.

looks good on the yellow cars, not so great on other colors though.

definately a fad though. kinda like pleather. cool on the hot chick but not so great on the rest of us.

and yes i'm mid 40's so I'm the old guy I guess.

I'm not a fan of the look. I don't like the way the wheel and tire look like one big black mess with no detail. I prefer aluminum or chrome.

Joe, enough with the affording thing. You're making it seem like you have to be on your last leg of life to be able to own a corvette. Just because the chrome was an extra charge option doesnt make it special. Truth is, the older generations like chrome. Chrome is dead. Get over it.

I don't like black wheels with a chrome or polished or brushed lip. I like straight gloss black wheels.

Well, I AM an old guy and I don't like chrome or black wheels! Chrome is....well, chrome and black wheels just look like a brake dust bonanza to me. About the shiniest I want to see is the ball polished HRE's that were photoshopped onto the cyber gray C7 in a different thread.

chrome wheels on a car make me cringe. but i know a lot of older corvette guys go crazy on the chrome add on stuff so to each their own i guess. I like the black wheels and am getting them on a black C7. I do wish they were available in competition gray as i might have gown that route though to give it a bit of contrast but black on black is great aswell. I dont think they need the machined lip. My car now is black and has black oem wheels with the outer edges silver and honestly i would rather it be all black looks fine but all black is more of a race look
