Black Wheels

Chrome wheels just aren't functional which is why race teams began to run black wheels. Wheels get covered in brake dust and are right next to the road.
Black wheels are not a fad, it's what it should have always been.
In the future chrome wheels will be for the bling crowd. Older guys that grew up w/ big chrome and have time to polish, and young kids that use chrome wheels like a large peacock feather for cruising.
Some of us just need a functional every day sports car, for those guys it will be black, grey, or tinted wheels.

I love Chrome & black wheels, The whole painted wheel idea came out in the low rider scene a few years back with donks & "murdered out", the moment I noticed the C7 rims it reminded me of the ruff 944's I have on my C5- they came on the car, I till have mixed emotions on them, but LOVE the black C7 rims, just cant wait to get a set, they are so much sharper than the 944s
ima now since I said my 944's "resemble" the C7 rims
But chrome is so pretty when clean and when taken care of last forever
ruff 944 :
the C7 ( could only find a black one)

I love black rims or at least the right rims in black! Not a C7 but I think they look great on MY CG Z06. If I can get these wheels to fit on my future C7, they will be on it! Even if I have to send them back to 360 for new hoops. Sadly though, I don't think the offset of these will work on the C7 though.

I hate black rims --- that's for guys too lazy to clean the brake dust off their wheels --- but yes, I am old and love chrome --- it sets the whole car off just like a chrome grill.

I think it depends on the the body color and style of rim.
i like machined look on a good looking 3 piece rim. now if its machined look on a ugly rim then i dont like. i will order my C7 in white with clear CF top LT3 Z51 sport seat upgrade stereo and black rims! black cause that looks good on that body color.
My C6 looks killer with partial 3 piece Modular concepts..then thats my opinion..

With today's technology, it's a great thing that we can have our wheels the color / finish we want. Black, blue, white, rainbow, no paint, clear coat, chrome, gold, carbon fiber...
To answer the original question? Who likes black wheels? I do, I like gloss black, satin black, chrome black, polished rim + black, black with machined accents, black with red accents, red with black accents, black with blue accents, chrome black... and more!
You guys are so narrow minded. I really think I should get those car eye lashes to **** off the narrow minded and force change!

It's all a matter of taste. And what car they are on.
As a rule, I usually don't care for black or chrome wheels.
I like machined aluminum, argent silver, brushed tinted, etc.
Although I have seen some cars with black wheels that looked great. And some with chrome that looked great.
Just depends on the car, color of car, and style of wheel I guess.

I like them all; so I am going matt grey on one side and machined on the other.

I'm glad to see that Chrome is dead, it's been too long. I just saw the red car in person at the Chicago auto show and it looks great. The vents look great in black and the black wheels really compliment the whole look.
