I've always bought domestic, and I have a fondness for American sports cars. My opinion may be biased, but shouldn't the RS6 be compared to the Z06 / 51? I'm considering price range and tech. Thoughts?
I would certainly hope that Audi's RS6 can best a car with more than 100 less horsepower and half as many wheels powering it. Forget comparing apples to oranges, that's like comparing an apple to a lamp.

I posted this somewhere else too...After living in Europe for 3 years (2 in London) I can honestly say most of them are still bitter about that whole "Independence" thing. Literally. Most of them loathe us as a whole (but certainly not individually, because that would be rude), and as a result any American car will always be subpar. No matter what. So get used to it, and just let it roll off your back.

Having lived in Belgium, I can agree totally. There were some upsides to it though. I also remember seeing a Corvette and one of the new Dodge Challengers. They got more looks and complements than the Eurotrash cars
The only time I've seen an RS model at the track the brakes where on fire sitting next to me to get on the track. Literally, I yelled at the driver and told him the pads are smoking. Those cars are too heavy to be a sports car. Nobody makes brakes that cool well enough to be usable on a car that heavy.
Never in your history have you ever built a car that looks as good as the Corvette C7. And in all likelihood, once the hi-po C7s come out, none of your cars will be able to keep up with the Vettes, either.

I'd say they build some nice looking cars, especially the interiors. The Z51 is a competitor to the R8 V8, and will probably be quicker in just about every scenario in the dry, and 90% of the time in adverse conditions (probably not snow, but come on now...). The V10 is probably a quicker car than the base 'Vette but Hi-po versions of the C7 will destroy it.
The R8 V10 is a better car than the base C7 (at least I would assume so), but I'd say the Vette looks better. I think the wide-body C6 looks better than the R8.
