Default A few of my thoughts, pics & tid bits

I was at the show Monday & Tuesday & just got home
I talked with many a GM tech guys and many a Michelin Tech guy as well!

You DO NOT NEED A WIDE TIRE to make your car work...........the right compound is most important AND honest lap times do not lie

There will be and all season tire offered..........details are being finalized. I have voiced what I thought would work

The torque tube will weight more and was upgraded to offset the DAD addition as it sent some unwanted harmonics to the drivetrain...

The side frame rails are 6063-T6 aluminum in case you need to mount a 6 point roll bar with swing outs

You may be able to read the OBII codes from the screen........you can have onstar do that for you now so I hope.........just like the C5s

The front license plate holder will restrict airflow..........

I like it more than the C6

More to come

Thanks for the interesting pics.

I hope an all season tire option becomes a reality.

Thank you for the pictures, info, and your honest view of the car. And you're correct. Tire width isn't everything. My Nitto 555rII's in 305 width, hold my 706rwhp every bit as well as the Michelin Ps2's in 325 wide, held 512rwhp in my last C5.

Great that you can see fault codes on dashboard. If this latest example from Govt Motors is anything like my car you'll need that feature. Unfortunately precious few service departments are qualified to fix the damn thing. Oh well, so what's wrong with a car who's brake lights go off ONLY when the brakes are applied.
I'll never buy another

The first picture clearly shows the clearance between the lower deflector and the ground.
Do you by any chance know the clearance of the painted area of the front bumper cover?
I'm not worried about the lower deflector because a.) it's a piece of unfinished black plastic, and b.) it's closer to the tire so it's less likely to rub.
It looks to me like there is an awful lot of clearance to the leading edge of the front bumper cover.
I have two GT-R's (a '12 and a '13), and the clearance is deceptive. With replacement lower spoilers selling for ~$1700, I have to be extremely careful with parking curbs, speed bumps and driveway aprons. It would be nice to not have those worries in the C7.
