For a while I see a lot of Corvette enthusiast stopping by to see what is going on. Until the car is out on the road it is still a place for those that are want to learn more or simply talk about the new generation. Sure there will be those that are just trolling, but that happens on a lot of the different sections. then for a time being there will be those that just want to vent if they don't like the C7. After all it is a big change for everyone to absorb in a few short days.
Do you really believe that everyone on here that are raving about the car and saying that they are ready to buy are telling us the truth. Come on some of the so called lovers of the C7 are trolling also. Besides last time I checked this was an open forum and nothing says that we have to own a certain generation to post in that section.

you know exactly what I am saying here; no need to try and "democrat" it to have a different meaning.

I hereby decree that if someone does not currently own three Corvettes, that they are a troll and should not be allowed to voice their opinion on any Corvette.

That should cleanse the ranks.

They need to add a disappointed section under the C7 forum.

And you and others may think they are trolls, but then again, that is your opinion.

As for the C7, I think it looks like an improvement. Hate the read end. I feel that it doesn't flow with the rest of the car. But, I don't really buy my car's solely on looks. I look at the performance and looks. The whole picture so to speak. But, it is my opinion and if you don't like it. Too f'ing bad. You or anyone else on here aren't paying my bills.

Oh, I understand that.

I never liked the C6. But I would only be trolling if I were to go to the C6 section and voice my displeasure. Instead, I would go into the C5 section (a series I happoen to like) and make that statement. And going into the C6 section and voicing how much I dislike the car... says to those that frequent the section:

"I don't like your car"

why would a true Corvette enthusiast want to do that to another?

I want every Corvette owner to enjoy the dream of owning Americas best sports car; even those that own series of Vettes I personally don't care for.

"it was official" meant: now that the design is truly known ... and won't/can't be changed before production starts.

I could of worded that better.

How do we request they add a gripe sub-section under the C7?

Do you encourage forum members to go into the sections of the forum of the series of Corvettes they don't like... and say

"I dont' like your car" ?

And third, people come on this forum to learn more about the car. They may choose to like it, hate it, or feel humdrum about it. But, that is for them to decide. Not you.
I never said - or even hinted - that people should like/dislike the C7. I asked that now since the C7 is a real car - and there will be real owners - that those who dislike the car not continue to come into the C7 section and say "I don't like your car."

One can go into their fav series section and say that' you're likely to have a lot of responses there.

I know exactly who Mike is targeting. Members like Vettemann who had five threads going at once all spewing hate against the new C7. I got so mad I put the guy on ignore and was wondering why the Moderators didn't ban him from the Forum. I am incredibly excited about the C7 and am on a waiting list. It has been a real downer for me to see so many hater threads displayed when I'm trying to find out constructive info about the car. I'm with you Mike, if you don't like it and are not going to buy one, and all you want do do is voice your opinion on how much you hate it, then please go away.

I would not support that.

it's not about voicing ones opinion; it's why they choose a specific section over another to do that.

Why?

If you can dictate the rules of who can post, why can't I?

Either you're a Corvette enthusiast here - or you are a troll.

When the C6 was officially introduced; those of us that didn't like it had our say; and then we backed-off. We're not here to save our bruised ego; but instead to help each Corvette owner enjoy the heck out of the version they own (or are going to buy).

Lets face it;

you would be in the C1/C2 section if you owned one, or was going to buy one.

you would be in the C3 section if you owned one, or was going to buy one.

you would be in the C4 section if you owned one, or was going to buy one.

you would be in the C5 section if you owned one, or was going to buy one.

you would be in the C6 section if you owned one, or was going to buy one.

Notice, you would't participate in any of the sections that were of Corvette series you weren't interested in.

So, now that it's all official, there's no need for those not liking the C7 to continue to post in this section. Corvette enthusiasts don't rain on other Corvette enthuisasts parades.

this should be a sticky.

I'm here because I'm gonna replace my C5 with a C7. I never bashed the C6...although I didn't like it. It looked funny and had a droopy front end compared to a C5.

it's not about any specific CF members.

read this: a page has been turned.

Before the page turning.... we all were hoping to influence GM into making the C7 Corvette in the manor we would personally like. Or; we were jusy conversing with fellow Corvette enthusiasts about what we'd like to see in the C7, and the things we wouldn"t like to see.

But a page in the history book has been turned. The C7 is now a real car; and there will be real Corvette enthusiasts owning them.

We're now beyond the wishful thinking stage. It's time to let a particular series Corvette owner/possible owner - bask in their newfound light.

I'm sure plenty of C6, C5, C4 owners dislike the C7.... and saying that there (in those sections) isn't stating "I don't like your car".

Well, no one actually owns a C7 yet. I own a C3 but I'm on this forum to decide if I want to buy a C7. Don't love it yet but certainly don't hate it. What's to hate? I'm staying whether I'm allowed or not.

As I see it Mike, right now no one but GM owns a C7, so therefore if anyone want to voice the opinion in favor of or against the C7 they can do it here right here or any other forum section.

I agree that once the C7 is on the road, then people should not be going to the C7 section to simply voice there displeasure with it. But until that time I see this as the place to discuss the new car for or against.

P.S. I hope I did not get to democratic for you

Are you 12 ???

You are stating things I didn't say; or even hint at.

I asked those that have decided that the C7 is not for them to
"re-evaluate" why they would still post negativity in the C7 sectio.,

This is nothing like you want to make it out to be.
