Default Hill start assist?

I assume with the electronic parking brake now standard, the C7 will have some form of hill start assist. Anyone heard anything on this?

If it does, hopefully it is selectable by the driver to be able to turn it off. In the Camaros, they got it in '13. You can check with some of the Camaro enthusiast sites on what they think of it. From what I have seen they are screaming for a way to turn it off to stop burning up their clutches. When excecuted correctly and driver selectable, it can be a great feature.

So apparently you guys have never been stopped on a really steep hill with some idiot on your bumper? Normally I would pull the e-brake, let the clutch start to engage while giving it some revs, and then lower the e-brake to avoid rolling back. How do you geniuses propose to do this with an electronic e-brake? Don't you have tail lights to complain about?

How you even could do a proper hill start without real hand brake?

Most of the people calling others "Nancy" probably never had to try to start moving on a really steep hill with someone closed behind. Yes, the handbrake really helps.

When a car makes 150 ft-lbs of torque at idle, who would need it?

Yes, here in South Williamsport, there are some extremely steep hills. I've never given them a thought.

Most, but not ALL. I learned to drive in Pittsburgh...in the snow.

I'm not saying it's a breeze, but I never used the e-brake.

The "close behind" guy gets the message when the drifting back starts. I liked the looks on their faces actually.
