Saw that video this morning on the Today show and noticed the center white portions of the tail lights and the spoiler brake light are the ones that light up when brakes on pressed. The LED outside edges stay constant. So, apparently the center white portion of the lens does double duty as red brake lights and white backup lights, I guess.

I didn't think it possible, but it's growing on me. I really want to sit in one. You know, just get a feel for the cabin. Maybe close the door. Might need to start it, just to feel the rumble. Honk the horn. Put it in gear... Press on the GAS PEDAL! Damn you, GM! You've done it again!

Like it better than the last three generations, excellent performers for there times, but dull styling compared to the old Sting rays and Stingrays of the sixtys and seventies...this new one looks fast parked.Never be able to afford one but at least it looks cool.lol

The new c7
I have never liked the C6 hard as I have tried. I have driven Corvettes for over fourty years and I am in the middle of bringing my 98 black, 21,000 C5 up to around 500 flywheel hp because I just didn't want to trade for a C6. When I was emailed a picture of the C7 in whatever that red color is I just sat and stared for ten minutes and had my Wife print me some copies, that is the most beautiful Corvette ever built.
I am going back to Wilmington, Ohio in April to run my SS Silverado truck again on the Ohio Mile. I have three people begging me to sell my 48,000 mile SS. I have allready been thinking how much my truck, C5 and my 37 Chevy Hotrod Truck would bring and buy an old Chevy truck or station wagen to be my daily driver.
Does anyone have an idea of what the cash diveout price on a base coupe would be and what is the hp of a base coupe?

I find this is typically the case for pretty much anything somebody likes visually at least a little. As for the styling cues, I agree (with whoever) & almost originally posted how I thought the nose looks almost a bit too Ferrari'esq. That's not to say I dislike it, though do typically lean towards cars with a more fluid shape. (and miss Vette's being designed more towards such)

I am not fond of the Camaro tail lights, and the lack of a parking hand brake will make starts at the pro solo a little harder, but the rest of the car is perfect. Love the spoiler, hope the carbon fiber interior isn't too expensive, I don't like the body color interior panels on any car. But key is the guys have been listening. There is a place to run shoulder harness, and the seats look supportive. There is an answer to prayer.
Hope there is enough headroom with a helmet on for a 6'3" driver. If it looks as good in person this may be the best looking and performing corvette ever built. Makes you wonder what they are going to do for Z06 and ZR-1.
Still when it turns 5 years old and it's time to weld in a roll cage for track use, that aluminum frame comes into play.

The aftermarket will most likely take care of my only issue with the C7 by the time I can afford one.
I want one so bad every time I see it from the front and sides... then I see the back and my brain goes "what is this I don't even.." Yeah definitely like the C5 all over again.

Burning Brakes
In my opinion, those who have a hard time driving a C6 in the rain should learn how to drive.

base c7 vs c6 z06....any chance that base c7 will outperform c6 z06? performance wise
nothing at all for c7 z06 yet right? they say maybe 1,2 years after base c7 what do you guys think?

No, C6 Z06 is lighter and more Horsepower. The C7 suppose to weight around 100 more pounds than the base C6.
