Acura NSX concept not as good as C7

Acura ruined the car with the Mazda knock-off smiley grill. I can't believe companies put a on the front of their cars. That's the worst.

The NSX is still 2 years from production at least. The concept looks stunning though. I still prefer the original my '96 still gets looks when I take it out.
I bet this thing will cost way north of 100,000. No manual option and rumored to be a hybrid.
I will take the C7

The new NSX is nearly a complete failure in my book. No manual, 4wd, V6+hybrid, bland styling. Why on earth would anybody buy it over the V10 R8 or Gallardo. Much too little much too late. It's an RL with a different look.
The original car was a driver's car...

everybody complained about the tail end on the corvette looking too much like the camaro's, suprised no one has noted how the nsx looks entirely like the audi r8 minus the interior

Price: INCREDIBLE
Looks: Are they going to finish the front? The side intakes look like someone's pencil slipped. The rear looks like the result of micro dosing on LSD
Performance: The base version is right. On the road it's going to embarrass a LOT of cars that are way more expensive
Interior: Star Trek good!
Electronics: Features good, reliability to be proven
Engineering: OUTSTANDING

Kudos to GM for designing a ME "supercar" they say they can sell for $60K and still make a profit. Time will tell. Design is OK. I would say I'm not overwhelmed. My main concern is reliability as I had many issues with my C7 and traded it recently. I'll wait a couple years and see how the C8 does once there are folks with some miles on them. AFM sucks IMO especially if you have to defeat it with an aftermarket product. Overall build quality is also a concern as I was disappointed with my C7 especially the paint. I wish GM all the best with their new halo car.

It is kind of funny that I see so many "disappointment" due to the lack of a manual (and I love my manual so I get it), but then you look at the sales of the C7 and it is <15% manual. No surprise the direction they went in.
If they set the dual clutch up well it will perform for the best of both worlds.

I’m fine with the mid engine layout but any car enthusiast knows that rear has a strong Camaro resemblance. It’s hugely disappointing for a flagship car. The dashboard looks 2 to 3 feet long, reminds me of the old Chevy Lumina APV van. It’s not as hideous as a C7 from behind but has zero Corvette looks or heritage to it. In the end it doesn’t matter since it will sell like mad and idiots will pay 10 to 20 grand over sticker to have one. They also get to be guinna pigs for the major 1st year bugs.

I love it, but am I the only one who was hoping to get a couple more years to enjoy their C7 before the C8 came out? I only had my 18 for a year and now I will have to upgrade if that's safe to say in a year or two. Hoping they offer a manual somewhere down the line, but we'll see.
