Will the C7 outsell the C6?
Love it, or hate it, to some the only real measure of a product's success is sales. $$$$$$$$$$$
Will more C7 be built than C6 during their 1st year in production?

Should easily outsell C6 in its final year.
Will it outsell what C6 did in its first year? Dunno. Two different economies.

If a new car can't outsell the previous model, then it's obviously a bust. But I don't expect that to happen here, no matter how many say they dislike like the rear view.
Just on newness alone, any Corvette should be able to surpass sales of the previous model.

I think not, because of the economy, and because of the radical styling. I hope it does well, though. I want the Corvette brand to thrive, but I just don't know if the economy can support it.

I didn't vote because too many variables come into play. As with most new cars, initial sales should be higher than the last few years of the C6, but the economy will drive a lot of this car's success, or lack thereof.

Honestly, a pretty silly poll.
The C7 better EASILY outsell the C6. The C6 suffered some of the lowest sales among all Corvettes due to the crisis of '08/'09 and recession of '10/'11 (few people bought Corvettes while unemployed with their homes were being foreclosed). C6s will be the Corvettes of the Great Recession - that much more rare, especially with the wide-body and 505HP 427, in decades that follow...

I really hope it outsells the C6 first year of production. It is a very tough ecomony out there and GM needs to recover their R&D costs early in the model run.
The C6 ran for nine years, a bit long in the tooth and the last five in a horrible economy. If the C7 does not do much better in its run, there may be big trouble in Detroit

Well the comment I responded to was about MSRP!
If a dealer wants to mark it up, you need to be smart enough to walk out. If you can't, oh well. There are many dealers, on the forum and not, that will sell at or below MSRP on day one.

This is no reflection on the C7. The C7 by all accounts is a awesome car. But it is very doubtful the C7 will ever outsell the C6. The Corvette has more competition than at any time in its storied history. The economy according to most experts may not rebound for several years if ever.

I bet they sell more simply because they cost more. There's a lot of people out there who won't buy something if it doesn't cost enough. This is both all new, and more expensive, so I expect to see sales increase. Especially if they make the options some insane price so people can brag about how much they spent for xyz... Sound crazy? Watch... Just look at Camaro option pricing and then talk to me.

Ding Ding Ding Right answer. The economy is still in the toilet and the banks are only lending to the top 20% and even then they will make you jump hoops on a 60K car. Since salary's are not growing at the same rate GM is raising the prices on the Corvette the buyer demographic is shrinking. You also have a TON of product in this price category so thats another piece of the pie gone. C5 sold well the entire 8 years it was in production they averaged 30K cars per year and sometimes they had to run 2 shifts. That was the 90s the money was flowing like water the markets were soring and people were spending. Today? 2013? Not so much. I think the C7 will do well the first year because you always have that group of people that have to be seen in the latest thing and they will buy. After that its going to start to fall off and by the third model year you will see big discounts on the car once again. I honestly don't think the Corvette will ever reach the sales numbers C5 and C6 did even if they screw a jet engine on the back of it, The times they have changed.
