I agree insofar as the standard C6 body goes. Heck it looked dated when the C6 widebody vettes hit.

The Z and ZR1 tho, are hot looking, muscular looking sports cars. The C7 is a great looking vette that IMO takes a good bit of the muscular good looks of the Z and ZR and infused it - in a fresh iterative way - into the C7. Good for the C7.

The C6 Z and ZR will look great for a long time. Hopefully the C7 will as well. This isn't a zero sum game, gents.

I wouldn't go that far. I'm not saying C7 doesn't look better but we have to see it in person to tell and Viper is no slouch in the looks dept in person. When I saw pics of the redesigned viper I didn't like it but when I was at the auto show, it was hands down my favorite production car at the show. It was drop dead gorgeous.

That's not a stock C6 and even so , it is dated looking compared to the C7. It being dated doesn't mean it still doesn't look good. When us C5 guys look at our own cars it's even worse.

C6 Z06 or ZR1 still looks badass... don't think that will change. But I still like the C7 as well

I'm sure we can all agree that the interior will look dated!!! The C7's interior is their best attempt at raising quality! It looks good!

The C7 is what the next generation Corvette needs to be, something very different and not a few styling refinements from the previous generation. I totally agree that this car will be a huge success. The guys at the car shows in the satin jackets can fistpound themselves senseless about how much better the previous generations Corvettes are while C7 owners reap the benefits of this new offering. This thing is awesome. Good job GM!

vectorz. This wide body C6 with the fender kit from ZR1bodylits does not look dated at all. The kit makes it looks better and more mean

Perhaps a original C6 looks dated but in my mind the black wide bodied one does not

I still like the looks of the C5 and C6, so I don't think the C7 necessarily looks better, but it is fresh and new, which is a good thing.

Not with that ZR1 hood window. And I don't think any of these generations will be as timeless as the C2 was. Not even my beloved FRC/Z06.

well yea, but that's not exactly a ZR1 (or 6) in stock form , it's been modified quite a bit but I agree looks I've seen that pic in the Z06 section before.

I dont think the C6 looks dated. It may have lost some of the WoW it had when it was first introduced, but that happens with everything. Its still a great looking design like all of its predecessors.

The C7 just stole a lot of its Thunder or WoW and will do so even more once we start seeing it on the streets later on this year. I can only assume this will urge people to run and trade in their "dated" C6's in on the awesome, exotic new C7. Im going to try with every fiber of my being to resist this temptation for as long as i can. Ideally i would keep the C6 and then buy the C7....in a perfect world.

If you think the C6 is dated then go strap yourself in and take a nice long drive on a curvy road that also has plenty of straight aways. If you are doing it right it should raise your heart rate a bit and get that blood pumping a little faster...if not maybe its not the car thats dated.

The C6 has more than enough going for it to remain relevant. For starters it compares very 'clean' compared to the C7. An excellent example of "Less is More". Not that I'm saying the C7 has too much. Its different in a very attractive way.

It takes a long time for a Corvette to appear dated. That is why the car has lasted 60 years with only 7 different designs. You can rest assured every Corvette model will turn heads even after all of us are long gone and 6 feet under.
