it's all good, i'm sure the same thing happened when horseless carriages started showing up.

some people just can't deal with progress.

But I bet the dealers LOVE the fob system. It's an easy money-maker.

Cost, complexity, unreliability, extra weight... the fob system makes no sense in a Corvette!
Six years and counting! Ye of little faith.

No slam intended, just playing with you as people that don't have a c6 have no good reason to know that. The corvette already has the right technology. It just needs a cooler fob.

The Automatic C7 wil have remote start, I assume there will be a different fob for the manuals.

Same fob just one less button.

Maybe the new fob will resemble a Stingray.

My friend was at the C7 unveiling. He just told me the C7's in Detroit were using Cadillac fobs. The C7 fob hasn't been released yet.

That is my take on the C6 Fobs. They have been a major pain for us. I like systems that work much better than systems that are "cool".

No pics yet. Everyone using a Corvette fob has their camera locked in the car and they can't get in to use it.

Yeah, and I want to see a pict of the ashtray with the door open. I assume that small door in front of the cup holders is an ashtray?

Best key fob to date is the Hyundai Equus, it's the size of a credit card.

I've never had a car with remote start. I can't imagine why it would be particularly useful. Anyone care to enlighten me?

If you live where it is cold, you can get the car warmed-up before you venture outside. If you live where it is very hot, you can get the cool down started before you get in the car.

Very useful.
