Brave New World: Fob batteries, damaged fob's, touchpad corrosion, "No FOB Detected", hatch/trunk dead zone, RCDLR, PCM... not to mention that an easily weakened car battery can cause no end of electronic miseries.
But I bet the dealers LOVE the fob system. It's an easy money-maker.
Cost, complexity, unreliability, extra weight... the fob system makes no sense in a Corvette!

Well, we can't expect Chevy to be as advanced as Infiniti, can we? Oh wait....when c6 owners drive their Corvettes they never have to pull out the fob either
No slam intended, just playing with you as people that don't have a c6 have no good reason to know that. The corvette already has the right technology. It just needs a cooler fob.

My friend was at the C7 unveiling. He just told me the C7's in Detroit were using Cadillac fobs. The C7 fob hasn't been released yet.
