Default Its not growing on me

I can cope with the rear end, but I am having huge issues with the interior colors. Hopefully if you order Red you can get a black interior that does not have the god awful red accents.
They made it wider so perhaps I will be able to sit in it and drive it, something I could not do with a C6. Scoops behind the doors seem to be totally out of place and it was like they wanted to put something there and someone said, "throw a grill/scoop there and we will figure out what it does later.
Carbon fiber is nice but a 99 pound change in weight? I would have thought they would have got that just with the addition of the aluminum frame. I have mentioned I am no graphic artist, in fact cannot draw worth chit, but the idea of stretching the Corvette out even more seems to make it look more and more like a poor cousin to the Aston Martin? Even though the rear end is controversial to say the least, I cannot help but think they have got the actual light lenses in upside down and on the wrong side of the car? I do not have photoshop but those lenses slanted toward the blackened drop areas would seem to me to offer more of a streamline look???

I was watching the unveil and was glad for the extra width. I am not a big man (6'2) but I need to drive with my legs bent and the C6 would not allow me to get my knees between the door and steering wheel and steering wheel and console, hopefully this one will.

Price point is important. If this is priced too high I think there are other cars out there that will give it more then enough competition. I have a 63SWC and I would not trade even for one of these. So that tells me it has not grown on me yet, but maybe once I am in a showroom with a Black one there, my heart may skip a beat but I just do not see much of an interest for anything but Black and Grey at this point???

As one poster pointed out last night which I thought hillarious, I am not sure that "sperm thing" should be on the side of the car without StingRay above it lol

If it hasn't grown on you in 22 hours, I guess there is no hope after all. Sorry

For a base model, there is a lot to like about this car. I rarely find a base model anything, particularly attractive.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it is just the frame that is 99#'s lighter. I haven't seen an actual # on the overall weight. The thing you should be made about is the 450 HP number. Estimated 0-60 3.9. 1/4 mile estimated 12.3 My 02Z did the 1/4 in 12.22 with drag radials and a cold air. All that said I still want one. I love the updated C4 interior.

I cannot believe this new car cannot entice me to sell my c5 zo6 for one....I was hopefull that they were not going to be exactly like the jalopnik pics.....but apparently Jalopnik was bang on. I wanted to see something meaner, sleeker, something a little sinister....which the C7 is not at all. I understand they are going after a much broader global market with the car...and they are trying to sell as many cars as possible...and with that I wish GM the absolute best of luck. We will know after 2 years how successful the C7 will be. Lets hope sales will be fantastic, after all this is a corvette we are talkin about!!!

I agree, in fact one thread on this forum was posted by a young fellow who though it was a huge leap in design. So perhaps we are just too old and set in our ways
So be it

Finding as the days pass, its still not growing on me. Still have not got that "I have to have it" feeling , I hope that changes if I can fit in it and drive it, but its not really ringing my bell

I mean come on GM, what were you thinking, finish off the car by making the oh so important rear end match the rest of the lines on the car, like the New Viper, or any other new supercar!! Honestly, Great car, but the disgustinly ugly rear end KILLS it for me (and I am the classic type of guy who would be in the market for one in a few years, having gone from a C5 Roadster, C5 Coupe, C5 Z06, and my current C6 Z).

The rear end looks like what the rear end on a Firebird/Transam should look like, if Pontiac was ever resurrected (which it never will be) especially with that huge rear end Vette Emblem.

Not being a hater, just voicing my opinion and am very disappointed b/c I would have LOVED to love the C7, but the looks of the car are very important to me and the rear end DESTROYED the entire exterior design for my tastes.

That's the stuff! Very good answer!

When I saw the C7 I was angry, because I hated it, still do, but now I
am getting some great entertainment reading the threads.
Hey, maybe the C8 will go with the maco shark theme.

I look at the evolution from C6 to C7 this way.....my last car was a Nissan 350Z Roadster which I loved to own until September of last year when I finally got bored with it. I did not replace my 350Z with the 370Z Roadster.

I don't have to make a decision about buying a C7 for a few more years so I am going to be neutral about the design until I learn more and see how it evolves after the rollout year.

It's really VERY SIMPLE....the marketplace will deceide if GM got it right. If they didn't you will see a C8 very quickly.

Take a look at any of the polls out there. The vast majority love it. They got a winner like it or not.
