Default Anyone else concerned with 20" wheels?

I am going to be buying a C7 - I would like the black wheels and I will also take some of the other upgrades on the z51... but for someone who drives all around NJ/NY roads... and will drive this car in everything BUT snow... I do not want 20" wheels. Pot hole heaven here and just makes me nervous to drive in the dark (I have had them on my SL 600, Jaguar XF Supercharged, and Mercedes CLS63 AMG) and got rid of them / did not like them.

there is every reason in the world to NOT use such tall wheels, and only one reason TO use them; they wanted the look.

bad, bad idea, especially at only 10" wide.

Not at all. I had 19/20 HRE's on my Z06 for 4 years with zero issues.

Wheel sizes have been out of control industry-wide for a long time.

I hear ya, heck I may not get the z51 car option because of this and GM loses money from me and I paint my wheels black professionally, or by repos that will look identical in the 18x19 setup....

I am really shocked this model has an option for 20"... what is the z06 or zr1 gonna have 22s?

Yeah, I definitely do not want 20" wheels on a sports car... It's disappointing that Chevy is playing that game and putting aesthetic appeal (and hell, I don't even think wheels that big look good on smaller cars) over performance and practicality.

18s/19s are plenty for me.

I'm curious to see the look with smaller wheels and larger aspect ratio tires. I'd like to see a setup that's more streetable if you live someplace with crappy roads.

Not at all. 21/22s fit a lot of exotics today... we hope to be one of the first with a Vette and of course share our findings.

What difference is there between the 19" or 20" on driving on crappy roads!!

What don't you like about them?

What is the down side of 20" wheels?

What's wrong with 20 inch wheels? The ZRs have them and drive just fine. It's better in the rain than my GS

If you try and put 18" wheels on the front with the Z51 option, you might have a little problem getting them to stretch over the brake calipers.
