Default So when are all you haters gonna put down a deposit on the C7?

Its gonna happen. Most people talk $hit and then they end up seeing it in person or feel left out and the succumb to their desires. Its just a matter of time that a C7 pulls up next to you while you're in your "real" corvette and it makes you look like you're still wearing your acid washed buggle boy jeans from 1985. I love all Corvettes and have owned 2 C6's, but the C7 is lightyears ahead in everything.

I'm not. I'm gonna replace the C6 with a GTR or an Audi S6.

I want world class performance (dual clutch transmission) and I need all season ability (all wheel drive).
GM could have kept the Corvette RWD and offered the OPTIONS of AWD and DCT and had a world beating car.
They failed.
There is no reason to make compromises in 2013 when buying a new car.

Considering I wanted to buy a 2013 Shelby GT500 or an M3 and the wife insisted on another Corvette, I'd say NEVER!! If there is ever one in my garage, it will be on her side!! I'll just keep my GS and be happy with it!! I'm really glad I bought it instead of one of the others!!

Haters? Is this high school?

I like the C7 with the exception off the rear. But I can live with that. As much as I love Corvette I will never buy one at or above MSRP. Even more so when it is pretty much guaranteed the second year model will have more HP along with any bugs worked out of the vehicle. To top it off the second year model will cost most buyers less money than the first year. So no deposit from this hater.

The "track" seats and other options will be late availability. I will likely order mine in late 2013/early 2014 for a spring 2014 NCM delivery! However if this car catches on and demand exceeds supply I will NOT pay over MSRP, so it may be a 2015 for me.

Hopefully when the new Z06 is announced, with track seats of course.

Default C7

Yeah, I think some of the engineering changes are pretty cool. I'd love to have one.

Not buying such a car because of the Camaro tail light fantasy? Absurd. I don't think reality has sunk in on a lot of C5 and C6 owners. The C7 looks to me like a pretty cool car. I can hardly wait to see what some of the "tuners" can do with it....and see what it will do in the Texas Mile.

Problem is, so many were looking for something really rad like the Transformer car. Wasn't going to happen. Too many have an idea of what a Corvette "looks" like, and I can't see GM going so radical. Ever.

Oh well, I'll just muddle along with my C3.

Once the C7 hits, I think a lot of owners will realize that they are still driving a 10 year old albeit good-looking design.

They'll want to change over then. Happened when the C6 came out too.

Default C7

None in my future. I don't like the Camaro style rear end. Corvettes have had round tail lights for 60 years. YUK!

would say a hater but I'm NOT buying one to replace my C6... If that's the best they can do after 9 years, that doesn't say much for the people designed.. I'd get rid of them all..

Maybe after they clean it up for 2-3 years, OR when the C8 arrives!

After saying id fire all the designers last night about the car. I have come to the conclusion of just the ones who designed the rear the rest did ok.

Don't worry they will find a reason not to have one. In all reality it is a monetary issue. When push comes to shove they will continue to blame the design when they really love it. Happiness is having what you want.
