Default Little things - details uncovered - what have you found?

Some interesting little things I've seen -

No gas cap. Capless fueling.

There is a PSI gauge peeking out on one of the dash images, so I assume there will be a forced induction version at some point.

Green? Really?

Looks like the reveal car - the red one - is a fully decked car. Z51, 3LT with all the carbon fiber and leather options. The base car will be much more naked.

The screen on the center stack is standard - Nav in that screen is an extra cost option.

No plastic gas pedal. It's aluminum just like it ought to be.

The Stingray double hump on the dash right in front of the driver is a little weird.

You can customize the dash plaque?

There ARE two things I like about the rear! 1. They put the Corvette logo back up where it belongs!! My major gripe about the C6. 2. I do like how the lines from the rear window continues on down into the lines on the inside of the taillights.

The fact that the hood vents are not just vents in the hood but a venting system with the radiator tipped forward, this will make a lot down force.

The rev match paddles.
Do you hav to hit it after sifting to get the rev match? If so, kinda hard to do on the up shift (have to move you right hand from the sifter to the paddle).

the reveal car most likely had all the goodies on the options check list....it'll be interesting to see what new price boundaries the C7 will push. Every one wanted a top notch interior and one thing is for sure, it won't come cheap.

I like the comp seats but don't love them...I wish the bottom portion of the seat looked as aggressive as the Caravaggio ones and that it had a D bottom steering as part of the comp package.

You only rev match on downshifts.

1.-The transmission with the Z51 Performance Package includes specific close-ratio gearing for more aggressive driving.-
2.-The Z51 Performance Package also includes brake-cooling ducts, a unique rear spoiler and additional air deflectors for enhanced track capability. - (which means we haven't see the Z51 yet!)
3.-Central touch screen uses gesture-recognition technology.-

All info from corvette museum site-

Electronically controlled limited slip differential! First time I've heard of electronics controlling the diff.

Also has new exhaust which sounds like it may have two additional modes, and is controllable via a switch in the cockpit.

I think the red car we saw at the Intro was the Z51.

One of the modes is designed to prevent objectionable noise while operating on 4 cylinders.

HP will be over 450. from press release:

An available dual-mode active exhaust system offers a 27-percent improvement in airflow. It features two additional valves that open to a lower-restriction path through the mufflers. When open, these valves increase engine performance and produce a more powerful exhaust note

I don't think the aftermarket guys that provide exhaust controllers will be very pleased.

I don't think so the red and the silver cars looked the same body wise. and the text clearly said "The Z51 Performance Package also includes brake-cooling ducts, a unique rear spoiler and additional air deflectors -

Like the jalopnik drawing with the Z06 style brake ducts-

Push button E brake in center console, or is that just the E brake release?

(To the right of the ride control selector)

The only way to get the split 5 spoke wheels (or any black wheel) is on a Z51, so unless they did a mash up that you can't buy, they were Z51's

jalopnik said their rendering was a ZR1
