Ok lots of threads of people saying they hate it, they love, I want one, I dont want one. I"m curious to see how long now that we actually see what it looks like and heard some stats. When do you realistically expect to be in the market to buy one? Answer away and maybe explain why.
For me atleast 4-5years is my guess. I'd probably end up looking for a used C7 (whatever they call the bigger motor version or supercharged/turbocharged) one.

How long will it take them to make one that can outrun what I have?
A nicer interior doesn't move the needle for me. I know it does for many. But it's gotta look good and go like hell.

In thirty years when I can get one for $7500 on eBay Honestly, I'd rather get a mid year or a used 427 Vert when I can get one for $50k in a few years. Maybe once I drive one, I might see otherwise.

Well they definitely couldnt come out and kill the performance of the ZR1 right away. I think that was a given.
Boy is the Grand Sport gonna get CRUSHED value wise here in the next few months.

I think they call this Stingray thing a "styling cue" - as a form of imagery, conjuring positive nostalgia and emotions, and of course name recognition for those who have no idea what it means - just that they've heard it before and it's a good thing.

Not until they have an actual supercar performance model like the ZR1, and thus it must be north of 650HP or I'm not interested, that will be many years if ever.
Oh, and they have to get rid of that cheap, tacky fish emblem on the front fender and send it back to JC Whitney.

As soon as they change....the rear.
I'll look into buying a C7 when they change the *** end so it doesn't look like a Camaro, or, an aftermarket company company comes out with a modified replacement rear fascia. Till then, I'm not driving a Camaro lookalike. I'll keep my C6 Grandsport.

I am not impressed at all with the lines of the car. Maybe once I see it in person, I may change my mind.
I guess as of right now, never would be my option.

I think that they missed the mark completely on this car. From the side it honestly looks like a Dodge Viper that was rear ended.
They should have taken all the excitement of the "concept" and made that into the new C7 (of course losing the Camaro tail lights).

I may concider it as early as they become available...might sale my 69 camaro and 68 vette so I can go get one cash, and make the ZR1 a garage queen lol

Well... I don't think you're going to confuse any part of the C7 with ANY car from the 1960's - much less the Sting Ray or Stingray. The car IS a completely all new design and new technology.
I think they call this Stingray thing a "styling cue" - as a form of imagery, conjuring positive nostalgia and emotions, and of course name recognition for those who have no idea what it means - just that they've heard it before and it's a good thing.

i like it but they clearly missed a opportunity to do something TOTALLY NEW
