The OFFICIAL Scale from 0 10 What Do You Think of the NEW C7? Thread

Team Owner
I give the entire front three quarters of the car a straight up '10'.
The back/tail end gets a '7'.
Interior, an '8.5'.
Hoping the engine, suspension, overall performance figures and pricing will end up being a '10' as well.
Great job GM/Chevrolet/Team Corvette

10. Beautiful departure from the standard A pillar, B pillar, hatch, corvette shape of the last 30 years.....Interior is great. The tail of the car is bold. Welcomed changes all around. Its clealy one heck of an athlete of a car.

The front three-quarter view is not too bad.
But the rest of the view is that of a 240Z roof-line with a Vega tail-end.
Basically, a much-promised much-bolder Corvette is not much when it looks more like a Japanese coupe than an Italian supercar.
It's a 4.

I guess this is an opinion poll only as long as you like the car. Against an ordinary family car it might be a 7 or 8 but for a Corvette it is well below average. Maybe it will improve as a convertible. Couldn't get any worse. But thanks for the advice. Looks like another Dodge Challenger in my future.

I give it a 4....it looks like a transformer!! I'm sure it'll grow on me but my initial reaction...yuck. In the immortal words of Clark Griswald..."if you think you hate it now...just wait till you drive it!"

disappointed
Disappointed. Looks like to much going on the outside of the car for me. I hope it performs better then looks. I'll be keeping my C6.

Congrats. to all who love it, As for me i was expecting alittle more WOW FACTOR it looks OK but not good enough to buy one anytime soon, I'm sure after a year or two it will grow on me & i might buy one 3 years down the road after GM works out the bugs.
I'll give it 7 for the C-6 & a half design

I am glad I didn't purchase a 2013 Grand Sport now...I love the new look and the interior....I think it is a definite 10. I agree that a ZO6 will be awesome.

No they don't, but as you read through the page you see a quick 135 pound saving in the frame, CF bits and another item I don't recall. Should wind up a decent reduction.

The idiotic posts from some calling it an absolute 0 or a 2 because of tail lights, black fender vents, ****** interior (looks better to me), 'only' 450 HP (not equal to a Mustang), not enough weight reduction, etc. crack me up. One guy already cited $59,000 as the gospel price. LOL
Many posters were just waiting to post some negative comment, like the member who joined two and a half months ago, and made his first post tonight. LMFAO.
I don't like everything about the car, but there are damned few cars that meet anybody's tastes 100%.

I will probably wait for at least one or two years. The good news for some of us is that the price of all C6's just dropped significantly and the C6 ZO6 just became much more affordable.
If I had a new C6 on order I would definitely bail on it fast. At least until prices stabilize.

Batshit ugly and designs stolen from Ferrari, Aston, and viper. Fugly camaro rear end. Gm continues to screw the pooch. The 2014 silverado is a crystal clear copy of the current f 250. Long live the c5/6 platform!

Straight 10! Can't wait to add a Z06/ZR1/Whatever next to my 997.2 Turbo S!

Overall a 9.0-9.3 in the looks dept. I cant believe all the haters. My old C5 Z and some c6's look soo dated and just blend in. This thing from what I see screams SUPERCAR!! Eat that VIPER! Cant wait to see one in person. Way to go Corvette design team and GM!

I'll never be in the position to go buy a new C7, but if I was in the economic position to have that kind of money to spend on a toy, I'd be on the phone to my local chevy store.
JMHO, this is a very serious car and I applaud the engineering staff on the technical sophistication.
I also think given the angular and sharp lines round tail lights would not have worked at all. JMHO
