Default Nice

Maybe it's just me, or the color combo, or the angle of the shot, but these pics (of the grey car on the previous page) do not look like the rear end is so high up in the air.

I REALLY like it. It won't take long for this one to grow on me I think.

Hey Mitt, Buy a Japanize or Chinese car then and get off a real man's car site.

IMO It's the best Vette yet. I say that about every Vette. I have a 2008 Z06 with 10K on it Jetstream blue with 3ZR package for sale for those who like the C6 better. Just Purchased a ZL1 Vert last month, thinking I wouldn't like the new Vette from rendering, that will occupy me until the new Vette is available.

GM is trying to serve two different customers, the young so called Ricer and the young/older more mature conservative. They showed the red black trimmed bold version with the more subdued gray version waiting in the wings. It is pretty much what I expected and this design will be color sensitive, darker colors work best, some of the louvers and vents need subdued. The option list will design the car to your particular taste. Overall I think the design is good.

Default New Corvette

More of a C3 crease in the front fenders would have been a nice touch. Going to take some time to get used to the "faux Camaro" rear end. Will be nice to see it in person.

I prefer the silver one. I think the black vents and stuff do stick out too much on the red car. I don't like the tailghts ,sorry but don't .The concept car c7 had different lights but loved those maybe the c8 will look like the concept c7.
Aside from the rear end like the rest of the car and in silver and maybe with bodycolored or more subtle or something vent finishes could look pretty good. Also a fan of chrome wheels hate hate hate black wheels!
Interior looks fine but wasn't that disappointed with my 3LZ interior. Seats were ok on my z06 as well but nice to have options in the c7. I don't think going to make the jump to c7 coupe and am likely selling my current z06 but mostly because was sick of driving stick ,live in hilly place and just sick of it. I was kicking around auto conversion in my z06 but think sell it for now. Just picked up a nice 07 Mercedes SL55 to keep me amused for awhile, wanted a rettractible hardtop and corvette don't have one of those either, and hopefully get a new c7 z06 or c7 zr1. I really am hoping they offer auto /manaul shifting options or may look at doing a conversion . I won't be buying any more manual cars or will be converting them if do get them. All the high end stuff pretty much all has auto with manual shifting options. So gm should get with the program this time on the z06 and zr1 versions.
maybe they could put round tailights on the z06 and zr1 versions? But saw some aftermarket kit or rendition on here and to me its a nice option. But most of the time of course you are driving the car not looking at the tailights. That job can go to lots of other cars on the road!

I also like the fact that some useful features trickled down to the z06 near the end of its life cycle. My car didn't get the selective ride or the racing start thing but they look good to have and sure c7 z06 and zr1 will have those options. What kind of pissed me off was the base cars had selective ride option but not till the later z06 did they offer it.
