gross vehicle weight?
will it run on e85?
base MSRP?
and a question that will have to wait, the 'vague' steering feel, at least compared to something like a porsche, has that been resolved.
dollars to donuts though a c6 z06 is obviously a better car performance wise until the c7 z06 shows up.

I love the exterior, the interior dash IMO doesn't look that great. Was hoping for a more sporty steering wheel and more classic sports car layout inside. Seats look great. Dash reminds me of the dodge dart. Maybe in person it will look much better to me.

Way too much going on with this car. I think the newness of it has a lot of people fooled. It is no longer a simple design.
It's ok but not enough to make me sell my C5Z. Looks like C6Z for me.

I'd sell my '63 Stingray to buy the 2014 Stingray! Love the Stingray emblem!
Too bad I couldn't get enough for my '63 to make an equal purchase.
Thanks Chevy.....you hit the ball out if the park.....

I like it!
I may need to take a ride down to see you when the vert comes out.
By then Dave B will have forgiven me for not buying my GS from him.

the 99 pounds is only the frame. The release PDF posted in the OP also mentions 37 lbs in body structure/panels, 9 pounds in suspension, and 2.4 in steering links. As well as the cradles 25% lighter. And magnesium frames in the seats.
I really wish they would have released the cumulative total curb weight though. Published base 2013 Curb weight from cars.com is 3208-147.4 I listed above = 3060.6 lbs. This isn't taking into account the cradle weight or seat frames, since I don't know the actual delta in pounds. But those big wheels are sure to be heavier, and who knows about other interior appointments, and we know the LT1 is a bit heavier than the LS3, so I don't think the net change in weight is that much.
I kind of wish the roof CF was painted like the hood. I know CF does have function, but still seems a bit much for my taste to leave it "visible". IMO the ZR1 could pull it off b/c it was King of the Hill. A bit "look at me" for the base car, but I wouldn't let it stop me from owning one!
Overall I think it looks great and I'm excited to get the rest of the details. Glad they focused on increasing stiffness of the steering structure, hope that addresses steering feel issues. This car should be awesome!
Also that PDF lists 6 speed auto paddle shifters. So all the rumors and raving and ranting about the Aisan 8 speed were for not. Like I said back then, the people reporting on the Aisan were the same saying that the base car would would have 5.5L.

I like the front, I don't hate the rear but I don't like it either. The interior really does remind me of the C4.
All in all, it's a little better than OK, definately doesn't blow me away as the C6 ZR1 does. I hope it's better in person and I think the lack of the paddle shift is an absolute FAIL - hope the track model has it. Funny to me that people are saying the new automatic is almost as good.

With the forward slanted, hood evacuating radiator air flow and the coolers on all parts of the drivetrain the upgraded performance model will be easy! Love the electrical steering and shifting modes. Bring it on.
