As far as i see it, the corvette was being developed long before they brought the new viper out. It's fair to say that it was being developed even before Chrysler decided to kill the viper.

The very first viper years ago, was a total copycat of the Corvette body style.

Let's not forget that the Viper was conceptually a modern COBRA.
Copying a copy should only be an issue for the originator.
Should Barnum and Bailey be upset too?

I really like the new gen Viper, but I can honestly say that when comparing these two shots of the front, the C7 looks more impressive.

I think the dodge execs are full of manure and only half as useful...The C7 has been in development for years...There definitely are similarities, but is absurd to make the claim GM 'copied' the viper...

I'm surprised by the SRT execs and their pitifully disrespectful statements, both in relation to the C6ZR1 test, as well as the C7 now. It makes me not want to be a Viper owner or be part of a crowd that cries like that.
Clearly, this car has been in development for several years...saying it's a copy is beyond ridiculous. I am simply awed that SRT people would make such a foolish statement. Aero is what it is. The shapes that work are the shapes that many modern cars are taking on....
That aggravates me that people see cars in such a shallow, non detailed manner. Even calling the viper a clown shoe is ridiculous to me. I never understood it. If people see cars from such a crude perspective I can't imagine how they choose what to buy. I guess its how people buy Z06's and complain about it being low to the ground or something...weird thoughts that seem abnormal to me...

The viper looks much closer to a big red ***** - a big, crude, phallic attempt at regaining one's youth without a cialis or being able to go outside for 4 hours.
A pity really.
