If the interior rendering is accurate, this car will not be more narrow than the C6 as many have speculated. It looks like it would have to be wider. Given that the new sport seats we have seen in the mules are wider, the only way to accomplish that while making the chassis narrower would be to reduce the console width. Based on the pictures, the console looks wider than that of the C6 so I conclude that the C7 will in fact be wider than the base model. It might actually account for why we may not see a wide body model. The wide body may be accounted for in the overall design to create a larger cabin and not just flares in the fenders. From an aero perspective, I would think that flared fenders would decrease the aero dynamics marginally anyway.
I must admit, I really love what I see! If this is a clue to leather colors, those who wanted the saddle color interior might just get there wish. This should also dispel those who say the interior would look like the C4. I just don't see it from this image. That interior looks classy and modern and very sporty!
I guess we will all know in 4 hours and 6 minutes!
Guys,
Turns out i stumbled on a bookstore whose folks ignored the GM embargo and dropped a bunch of issues right there for all to see. i almost freaked. Took it to a corver of the bookstore and took the shots above
My thnals to TractionControllOff for posting them as I was nowhere near being able to post the shots. I did first them off on my iPhone.
The front and side profile minus that terrible fender vent, look good. But I look at the rear and its just awful (nothing to do with the taillights), I mean it doesn't flow with the rest at all. It's so busy , too many vents or grills or whatever along with hard lines and sharp angles.
Please don't let it look exactly like this *fingerscrossed
