I agree, not as much flare to the fender, but you get some of that affect from how the lights are positioned. Not as much as the ZR, tho, I agree.
The rest, tho, does remind one (me at least) of a dead-on view of the ZR front, especially that bulged hood, curve of the fender tops and the area in between center of hood and fender tops, larger grille etc. Obviously not exactly the same, but exudes a similar look.
Tougher look to it than the base C6.

Hey Jet, shouldn't that make you happy? After all, you went and bought a new Viper a week ago right? What are you still doing trolling around here other than trying to get a reaction from people? You must have no life whatsoever. Oh, and BTW is it your assumption that the C7 was designed after the Viper was unveiled less than a year ago? If so you're a bigger idiot than I originally thought. Cheers!
Is Viper a pretty awesome car...sure, but you seriously think GM is going to go obtain some spy photos to copy the cars headlights... delusional...

And yup, not as much fender as the C6 wide bodies...

Yeah, needs more of a nose up attitude on the ZR pic. I looked for some as well, but also couldn't find one shot from a similar front-on, but low perspective.
Mine's up on a lift with a batt tender on it, or I'd just go out in the garage and take a pic of the front of from that low view.
Don't know if the C7 nose will actually look like the rendering in this thread, but I'm a bit excited if this portends the C7 taking on some of the muscular look of the current ZR front.

Ok, maybe. But now, from a design perspective (meaning, both cars were in the works/development FOR YEARS NOW even though the Viper might've been "released" first), which actually came first, the chicken or the egg?
Perhaps it was Team Viper that did the copying?

Burning Brakes
Prolly more like a DECADE. That's why I have said in the past that the Tail light's on the C7 were already considered for the vette way before the new 5 Camaro came out let alone the face of the 13 Viper.

You have quite a keen eye there.
The C7 and new Viper do both have headlights, a hood, a windshield, and fenders!

Some of you guys are SO...narrow minded...
Listen...both these cars are developed in the wind tunnel. The shape of the cars are dictated by aerodynamics. The high rise center hood feeds air between the bubble and to the rear wing. Dips in the hood channel air around the canopy over the sides to the angled hard edge over the quarter to the outer edges of the wing (on the racecar). Large air intakes...you need them.
I see the principle upon which you people are saying "they look the same", but they are ENTIRELY different cars. Look beyond the most basic interpretation for God's sake. They are both GT class cars...both front mid, rear drive. They are competitive platforms. Look at the Mustang vs the Camaro...similar shape.
My God some of you guys are so....basic...

For those saying this looks narrower, it's hard to say because you don't know the distance between the headlights, nor the true trackwidth. You could be looking at the same width, with less drag penalty from not flaring the fenders.
