I think overall I like what I know so far about the C7. The deciding factor for me as for a lot of people on here is what the rear of the car will ultimately look like ( not rendering like ), and the overall performance on and off the track.(given what we know about the HP/ unknown weight ratio . I think these are the 2 deciding factors for most on here.
lastly : some Ferrari style....is that such a bad thing ?
All car manufacturers take cue from each other in some way or another, they do what works.

The Ferrari styling in the front end is a step in the right direction, IMHO. Looks good.
However, the rear end styling is about 50 steps backwards. What a hideous rear end for a Corvette. Unless someone comes out aftermarket with a completely different rear end substitute for the OEM body work (with acceptable taillights), I won't even think of buying the C7. That rear end is an abomination and I'll take the $$ elsewhere. YMMV.
Interesting observation about the Datsun 240Z profile. Yep, I see it too.

I think you're all going to be surprised come the 13th. The car will look nothing like all the diversion tactic renderings we've seen. I'm willing to bet my previous post about my design theory may hold true.

Hi gang....just showed a friend pics of the jalponik C7, and went over more pics of the new vette which have been all over the place....and I just cant help but feel that they messed up big time, its really unfortunate that this is the best they could do. What could possibly be the new car, just looks like a cheap ferrari. Almost all the feedback I get regarding the rear end is it looks like a Camaro, plus base power is less that the of theCamaro also? It just seems like it just doesnt live up to the Vette name, or standards that we have come to expect. The interior C4 copy also looks like crud. It was also pointed out to me that if the car is going to be reasonably priced, in a fiew years it probably just crash in value and be super cheap....what do you guys think, please tell me how wrong I am. Is it just me that thinks this car just doesnt compare to something like the Nissan GTR, cause I would buy that in a heartbeat over this cheap ferrari look a like.
Sorry, I had to get that off my chest. Just wiat a few more days to say if you like the car or not.
