I got my 05 C6 in Dec of 04 and have had no problems other than the roof recall. Plan on going to Detriot on the 17th to see the C7 and if I like it I will be ordering one in the fall.

Dan the man..that is positive thinking. I wanted to go to Detroit but my wife and I are going on a cruse in the Caribbean on the 26 th and I did not want to get snowed in. Please for all of us take some pictures of your own and post them. I skipped Christmas this year and focused on 1/13/13...should I leave the tree up until after that date?

I'm definitely going to be on the look-out for a used C7 in a few years. Modern Corvettes are great stock, but with the aftermarket support and love for these cars, it's cool to find people eventually find a way to fix almost all the annoying things, and you end up with a truly wonderful ride with a little bit of work.

Out-of-the-gate, I suspect the C7 will rock, and I think the design will also age well.

I definitely will be buying the C7-Z, it will most definitely be worth the wait. Base C7 will be a bad @ss car as well I do believe, but won't have the bragging rights or performance I will be looking for. Too close Competition for it already even before its out of the gate. So I will purchase the Z version as I have already previously owned 3 c5 Z's and 2

Looking to get a C7 in late August or early September below MSRP. If that doesn't work will wait until discounts are the in thing.

I have a deal with a Dealer in New Jersey. I live in Pa. Go to where the deals are do not settle for add on pricing. The dealers who advertise in this forum are a great place to start.

Everyone wants the new car to be a home run the first year. And, hopefully, a lot of you will buy the first year and help debug the C7 for the rest of us if there are problems (kind of like standing in line all night to buy and then field test the latest iPhone). Many people enjoy owning the latest technology and don't mind early teething problems.

The C6 was mainly a refinement of the C5 and there were only a few problems the first year (and they were mostly manufacturing related). However, the C7 is a different beast. It has a new electrical system, direct injection, variable valve timing, active fuel management and a new oil system. I will wait for the third or forth year that will bring the second generation engine with more performance and reliability.

I will certainly buy one! I have always wanted to buy a new Corvette.

I graduate in Sept 2014 - so therein lies the present for myself..

"Geof, aren't you the least bit concerned you won't like it? You don't even know what it looks like."

"No. Every Corvette has been bad *** - I am sure this new 7th gen car will surpass all expectations."

I started in the car business around 1978 and like clockwork since, prices on pre- owned sports cars, convertibles etc. go ballistic around April and fall back down around August,

If any of us are lucky, we get our C7 in Sept , Oct. of this year and if you don't like it you can let it go in April 2014. The odds are very much in our favor that this car will get very "hot" when the weather breaks in Spring of 2014. Of course one will still incur a loss but maybe not too large. I have lost way more on other "projects".

My 2005 GS interest free loan is paid in full July 2015. I figure that will give about $30K trade up to a Z06 and still keep my payments at the same amount without skipping a beat. I hate making those damn $1K payments but I'd rather pay them for a car instead of a shrink. A couple of days at the track make me human again.

You definitely love cars. Performance cars in particular. You are not a died in the wool Corvette fan,. A Corvette fan loves all the cars. He/ she joins clubs and races or shows or cruises with the car they love. There is a difference. I support your opinion and also your right to buy any car you would like. . Like a good parent a Corvette fan loves all their children unconditionally ....
