Differences in C7 renderings
Both of these renderings were revealed by Car and Driver right? They don't look like the same vehicle to me. I like the second one much better, has less of a "fat" rear. Discuss.

The first render has the car lowered; front end nearly on the ground, hence the headlights and grill all appear lower in relationship to the front tires (eg. the top of the grill is about at the middle line of the front tire, whereas on the 2nd render they're both higher). The first one also seems to reflect the curvature of the door better too (see screen shot below from C7 video).

Maybe a subtle point, but I never grew fond of the black ring around the headlight fixtures especially if the housing internal is body colored (black and NRB C6s the exception). Offering different color headlights vs body color seemed to address this issue but to some looked raccoonish.
Given that, the top C7 holds true to the C6 headlight black ring whereas the bottom looks to have omitted that ring or at least has hidden it under the body panels. Thus I think it looks best IMO.

C7 Corvette Details Revealed in Leaked GM Service Information

C7 Corvette diagram
As the all-new C7 Corvette inches ever closer to its January reveal date, information about the car continues to seep out. However as yet their remains to be any conclusive proof as to what the car will look like exactly. Well now we know EXACTLY what at least one section of the car will look like thanks to a leaked GM Service Information document that was nabbed by spy photographer Chris Doane and posted on Facebook.
The detailed diagram shows the front wheel arch of the C7, specifically the front brake cooling deflector kit installation. But at the same time it gives the most accurate idea yet of what the front end of the new Corvette will look like.
From the small image it looks like Chevrolet have gone all Italian with the ‘vette. Giving it a headlight arrangement which anyone with half and eyeball might say looks rather Ferrari-inspired.
