The 1963 Corvette was the first year of the C2 and is considered by many the most beautiful Corvette EVER.
It is shown here in comparison to the 1960 Corvair, of all things. Look at the rear of each car. Can you imagine the controversy this would generate with some members of CF today
I never realized it before, the C2 has Corvair tailights. I want purchase a C2.
Hey Larry, what about the license plate surround? How about the flat horizontal line accross the entire top of the rear? Sharing those cues with the Corvair make the 1963 Corvette ugly?
The 1960 Corvair presented revolutionary advanced design in it's day. Ralph Nader really went after it for safety issues. However, by today's standards, guess we could argue that both cars in the OP's photos are "Unsafe At Any Speed", lol.

My very first car was a red Corvair with a white interior and the dash mounted shifter. I was 15 and I paid $100 cash for it and it ran great. Within 24 hrs it was totaled as I was rear-ended me at a farm driveway by a big Ford van in broad daylight. The guy decided to pass me and rear-ended me as I turned into the driveway. The driver told the cop he couldn't see my turn signal because those darned tail lights were so small. I got the ticket for 'failure to yield the road'.

You got the ticket for being 16. That sucks.
