Funny how we all see different things looking at the same things!
I do not think it is remotely close. Yes there are 4 slightly similarly shaped tail lights on each (as to the geometric form only), and the poster did use a remarkably similar paint color, but beyond that I just don't see it.

Well to give another opinion of a "younger group" I am discouraged. I love my C6 and am either getting a "ZR1 or Z06" version of the C7 or a Viper. I am still holding on for hope. I know performance will be amazing, but I am not dropping 6 figures for a ugly fast car period. If I wanted a camaro with corvette performance I would buy the ZL1 and modify it a little bit. Something about the back I really don't like. I like adding the side windows for several reasons. Now it will be much easier to tint the back windows and just looks more modern than the current hatch design.

I am a big lurker in the C7 section. This is the best render so far in my opinion. I am even starting to like the "7" vent on the front quarter. Just a thought but could someone please photo shop the "running mascara" on the taillights body color? I think a small tweak like that might bring the rear together even more. Even if this is it I am loving that rear quarter view,I think with a few tweaks and in the flesh it will look great!

My photoshop skills are still amateur at best, but I would like a blue like this. Since I doubt it will happen my car will likely be white.

I think the biggest thing I dont like is the height of the rear end. It looks too tall. It reminds me of the cadillac cts coupe which I cant stand.
Anyway does no good because they can show us the real thing and we still wouldnt believe until 01/13/13!

Still waiting for the revolutionary change we were expecting. This is a tweak to the c6 widebody, nothing more. It is decent only because it sticks closely to the c6 (minus back end).
The body wrapping the exhaust tips completely, and so tightly, I would think is an issue.
Pony car rear end is very polarizing. Had it been on another car, on its own it would look fine. Just not on this particular car at this particular time, a matter of principal.

OK, now I REALLY don't like it.
I am at the point where I don't want to see any more 'renderings' because they all gross me out. I will have to see this in person to have any chance to like it.

The front and the side are.............tolerable. The rear view is awful - way overdone and cluttered. Now I not only dislike it for the Camaroesque tail lights, but even more so for the overall uncohesive disjointed combination of design cliches'. The rear does look like a tack on aftermarket ricer job!
I agree it's time to look for a 427 convertible.

The horizontal shading along the side of this rendering create an 'almost bodyline' along the door which does not exist on the actual car.

It's a very clever render. By lowering the car and making the nose come to a lower droop, someone's made the car that we're all familiar with at this point look much more aggressive. Very Viper/F12/599. However, it's also fairly amateur. The GM rear plate doesn't even line up with the rest of the car, nor does the rear crossed flag emblem. The creator could have spent a little more time making the paint look less....MS Paint.
That having been said, if the car in that picture was the real C7 halo model and up for sale tomorrow, I'd start robbing banks tonight.

They have managed to change the look of every phase of Vette up to date, whether one likes the new look or not. I dont think this will be the new car, as it looks like a slightly changed C6, nor do I think the new C & D edition cover Vette will be the car. I do hope/think it will be something completely different!!!
