People that have actually seen it are saying it's beautiful.

I am still holding out hope that somehow, someway, the official reveal will be something that has us saying "thank God Jalopnik was wrong!"
Is what you have seen on the cover of this months Car and Driver?

I guess I prefer curves to sharp angles and creases.
For similar money, can get mid engine, and DCT, but not the HP of Corvette.

I agree , this is a very nice looking body style. It doesn't have to "grow on you "

To me, those C&D pics are NOT BEAUTIFUL!
Even showed them to the wife, and she did not like it, either.
I will show her pics of the new Cayman after they reveal it, and see what she thinks of that.
I don't care how fast the new C7 is. To me, it's ugly, and that's my primary motivation when buying a new car.

On the planet 9 forum (boxster/cayman) it is 50/50 that they like the old design better. From what I have seen, I like the new cayman, just have to wait until jan 13, to see if I like the C7. Hopefully car and driver is way off.

Thanks for link.
That was fun to watch.
Almost like being there, but without the crowds!

I like it!

They are not pictures, they're drawings by C&D designed to sell magazines. Not from GM.

Ummm...pretty damn close. Those CG's are almost spot on except I think the real ones look more boring. I watched the live unveil from LA Autoshow today streamed over Planet 9. I love Porsche's but the Cayman didn't excite me. The new C7 has more drama so I hope it's not a wet cracker, too.
