I met Gary just after the Buddy Holly movie came out...he was at a Bonnie Raitt concert in Minneapolis and he actually played on stage with her that night. He was hot stuff back in those days.
Too bad he didn't wear a helmet...he might still have a working brain.
Barry Meguiar was interviewing Gary at this year's SEMA and he said he hated the Vette's interior, burned a valve in his Z06, was still having brake issues on his ZR1 ,and was pissed about no AWD on the C7 but his was still going to buy the first 2104 at Barrett Jackson. Then he said " you know why I love Vettes ? Because I am an American , F**k Yeah!" :
