LT1 450 TQ IS Wrong ---
Ok the 450 Tq # is wrong if you just look at the chart they put out it clearly shows the Tq is over the 450 line.
And also don't understand the people that are disappointed with the LT1 -
If the LT1 matches the lS7 on Torque and is in a lighter car that is also better geared thanks to the new 7 speed, I for one think the new C7 will give the C6 Z06 a run for its money.

So you're saying it really should be 452lb/ft? :P
Lets get the LT1 torque curve straight here (pun intended).
The LT1 torque curve is very similar to the LS7 until about 4k, which is very impressive and a significant improvement over the LS3. However, beyond 4k, the LS7's power curve would make the LT1 look pretty silly.
Torque for the LT1 plateaus at 4k while LS7 continue to rise until it makes peak torque at 4800rpm and likely carries that advantage through the rest of the powerband. There is a reason why they only plotted the LS7 to 4k rpm. No sense in making the new engine play 2nd fiddle to an old engine during its reveal.

LS7s are still blowing themselves up..so just maybe they are making to much torque.. just check the Z section

that shows only the toque from 2k to 4k, anything else is speculative. heck, I say it keep going up in a straight line to 5200 then levels off, lol.

I also see two horsepower lines (both dotted) with the grey line being the LS3(one dotted line showing 430 Hp and the second dotted line showing 436 HP. The red dotted line(and the almost matching gray dotted line) show 450 HP and 456 HP for the LT1. I'm assuming that the 450 is without NPP and the 456 is with NPP.

Some want z06 performance for base model pricing, the base model c7 at least initially upon release will be a hair under c6 z06 performance numbers, expect later on in the c7 life cycle to exceed the z06. GM does it this way so the beta testers can fix the problems, then move on to the high performance models.
