Chrysler survived because FIAT bought them.
gM is surviving because of the US taxpayer.
gM and Chrysler should have been put through the same bankruptcy procedure as any failing PRIVATE company would have to go through.
If they were making cars and trucks that people really wanted to buy and if they weren't forced to give everything to the unions, they would have re-emerged from bankruptcy as smaller, yet more efficient companies.

It's a little misleading to believe that GM would have emerged from bankruptcy. Apart from the folks who enjoy rewriting history, not many people think it was possible for GM to survive the process.

I guess the C7 emblem does look like the emblem which it was said it does not look like.
I thought I would stop by and post/share this animated GIF I made from the new emblem.
This is my first attempt at 3D object in Photoshop CS6 followed by my first animated GIF in Photoshop CS6. Lots of trial and error and some Google searching to figure out how to make it work.
Does anyone have a tutorial for how to make the backside have a different image than the front side, or have the same image with the text in the correct direction? I would have preferred to do it but I had to give up that dream temporarily.
If you want to use this GIF please download it and save it on your own server rather than linking to the current file location (it might disappear or move at some point.) The file size is 1.19MB and has a transparent background so will look OK on any color background.
