It looks like an article was put together based on a CF members post.
Props to keeks.

From the pictures we see a V8 engine, oil filler and oil dip stick on left side. Side vent trimmed in plastic/chrome? and Sting Ray emblem. If those are the seats, looks like the standard seat belt arrangement will be used, four yellow fans?, don't see a mechanical handle to recline the seat back, controls still side mounted on the lower frame.

Thanks to keeks2915 for all the info.
The side "vent" detail looks tacky. The squared-off engine cover seems one step of artifice too far and too much like other GMs.
But I've bought cars with ugly details before. The whole can still be a thing of joy and amazement. It sounds like C7 will ably serve in that capacity.

GM FIGURES OUT SPOT WELDING ALUMINUM
When Honda showed us the new Accord, it pointed out that it is welding steel to aluminum with a new welding technique it calls friction stir welding. Now GM says it’s developed a new way to spot weld aluminum, which eliminates 2 pounds of rivets. The secret is a new welding tip, what they call a multi-ringed domed electrode. Spot welding aluminum is almost unheard of, and this will allow GM to do it quickly and a lower cost than riveting.
