Default Las Vegas unveiling

My son was at the Las Vegas unveiling. He said that they had to go through metal detectors and that they were only allowed about 80-100 feet from the car. Where the car was staged it was completely dark. He said that they put a strobe light on it for about 10 seconds and that was it. No othe details were given. He said from what he could see that it looked like a ferrari.

Thanks for the report. Sounds like nothing was really revealed to anyone. Were any technical specs verbally conveyed? Gotta wonder why they even went to the bother to allegedly transport a C7 to the event???

Political BS.. I would stake it all that some dealers had already seen the entire car before Vegas. The dumbest thing a manufacturer can do is show favoritism but they do it all the time. It is like urinating on your own bread and butter.

No... it's just the current reality of what steps you have to take to keep something like this under wraps in today's "everyone has a phone up their butt" society.

I know this is true and at least one (or more)of our forum sponsors has seen the real car. I don't want to say which sponsor but I do know they have seen it.

No rcallen, they were not given any details at all. He even said it was a 10 second profile look.

I could be a very happy camper, if I could buy a car that looks similar to a Ferarri, maybe out performs many of them, am able to actually afford to buy and operate it and get it serviced less then 5 miles from my house is very attractive to this aging vette enthausist.

I own a few luxury items (audio, camera's, watch, clothes) that even though some are "decades" old they still work and satisfy my soul.

A Corvette that has classic lines that can stand the test of time is more important to me as I age since this is probably my last Corvette purchase.

I'm getting more excited and the anticipation is starting to get to me unlike previous generations. And I've owned C3, C4, C5 and C6's.
